Giffer
is the clutch of the pukegoat the same as the one in the ax-15?? i just pulled my donor ax15 and np231 out and the ax15 was having clutch problems, so i was wondering if a could just take the clutch out of the pugeot and drop it in the ax15. would it be the same through out, etc.
Geonovast
What kind of clutch problems? The master or slave could have been the culprit. The clutch disc and PP may be the same, but external and internal should be different. I'm also 99% sure the pukey internal slave and AX-15 internal are different. Giffer
i think when the clutch was installed something was forgotten like the clutch release bearring or something along that line. i was just think about having a spare.
Geonovast
The throwout bearing and internal slave cylinder are one piece, so if that's the case, (and how do you forget that thing?) then you're probably going to need a new one. Plus you wouldn't have any clutch fluid, because it would just bleed out every time you touched the pedal. I'd try to track down the pieces to convert to an external slave setup. dakal
what are the pieces to convert from internal to external slave.? i have a ax-15 on a 88mj.
Geonovast
External bellhousing, bearing retainer, pivot arm, slave cylinder, correct length clutch line, and correct clutch kit. Any AX-15 94+ should be external, and some 93s will be too. And to answer two questions before they're asked; 1. NO, the BA 10/5 was never an external slave. 2. The AX-4/AX-5 external slave parts are NOT compatiable with an AX-15 (I have heard the slave itself is the same, but not 100% on that).
