Robh
I pulled my steering wheel off yesterday as well as the big cam hub. When I put it back together and start the vehicle or even turn the key to on position the horn blows and will not shut off without turning the car off. It is an 88 comanche. This morning I disconnected the wire at the horn and now with the car on I get a clicking sound out of the steering column. Does anybody have pics of horn assembly? I didnt remove any wiring and the only thing I can think of is the horn is somehow depressing all the time but not really sure why. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to it but I must be missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Rob
HOrnbrod
You've grounded your horn wire in the steering wheel hun internally somehow. The clicking is the horn relay. Which steering wheel do you have? The three or two spoke?
Robh
Its a three spoke.
HOrnbrod
My guess is that the insulation plastic retainer (part 13) is either missing or allowing the grounding pin (part 15) to extend and make contact with the slip ring and trigger the horn relay. Happened to me once........ :fs1: Image Not Found

Robh
I took the part 8 and flipped it and it seems to be working properly now. Question, what is part 10? as I don't think I have that part.
HOrnbrod
That's a nylon/plastic insulation ring for the slip ring (#8). If it's missing that's most likely causing your problem. :D
