what tailgate latches work for the comanche?

i need a new tailgate latch for my 87. i believe it's just the standard gm latch, from s10's maybe. anyone know what years work? or do i have to find a jeep one? any idea how much they go for used or new?

1st gen s10 latecs will work.

 

I want to see about trimmin the tailgate a bit to make a later model s10 or jeep hatch handle fit so it would have a lock.
