maddzz1
Is there a difference between a 231 and a 231J transfer case? Will the double booster from a 95 work too? or does it have to be a 96? Why can't you use the female seatbelt ends from a cherokee?

It uses the Cheaper hack and tap kits. A 1995 booster will work, I have on in my cherokee. In fact I thought you were supposed to use the 1995 A buddy of mine told me that Jeep seatbelts are strange critters and you can only used matched sets. There is no guarantee that any two seat belt pieces will mate other than the two issued together from the factory patience grasshopper
HOrnbrod
The 95/96 non-ABS dual diaphram boosters are identical. You can also use the 95/96 ABS boosters; different part numbers but the vacuum line hose fitting location is a bit offset. Actually better. :D I used the female XJ seat belts when I converted from bench to bucket seats - no problems.
