flint54
Pull your battery tray out and you're probably not going to like what you find. I got lucky again and found a treatable (Ospho + POR-15) patch, but observed that the tray sits flat against the sheet metal and invites rust. Suggest placing nylon spacers on the three studs to raise the tray up off the metal.
500 MJ
Mine was so far gone it was starting to eat into the core support. I just cut it out and welded some angle iron back in its place. I retained the stock location and tray, but got rid of the rusty thing once and for all. Now it drains nice and free! My $.02 - its just gonna rust again so do away with it and fab something better up.
