You have to go through the DMV to do it. There is a fee for it and you must be able to prove why you want to check it and that you have the proper authority to do so. There are new privacy laws in place now that do not allow you to just run someones taga as we used to be able to do. If you have a friend in a high place in Law Enforcement, they "Might" be able to help you out, but even they are now held accountable for look-ups and have to prove why they did it and show cause.

 

I went through this not long ago...but, I had a friend in a high place that helped me get what I needed. It was not someone from this board...and no...for what should be obvious reasons, I can not refer anyone to him ;)
