JEEPNJR
Currently in the final faze of my total comanche rebuild, and came across a problem. Problem is that my seat belts are missing, the whole system. For both passenger and Driver. I have a bench seat. Questions are the following. 1. Does the bench seat come with a middle passenger seat belt? 2. Can you purchase new any aftermarket OEM seat belts? 3. Will Cherokee seat belt system work on my comanche? And any specific year? Thanks for the help! :help:
Red 1989 MJ
When I fixed the floor, I replaced my bench for bucket seat from a Cherokee. The bench came with a middle passenger seat belt. The belts were attached together each side with driver & passenger bolts. You can go in junkyard and find seat belt from Cherokee. Cherokee seat belt will work, try find one with same years then yours. Good luck with your project  :Canadaflag:
jbhill
you could get the middle belt from any vehichle that has a bench seat if you wanted. i have a set of burgandy belts w/ no buckles for super cheap. i would assume XJ belts would work. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13180
Wildman
The MJ bench seat have 3 seat belts, driver, passenger, and middle. The bench belts are different from the bucket seat belts, mostly to the plastic 'stiffener' that holds the female end in the up right position, so their not flopping around on the floor. XJ seat belts would be the same as the MJ bucket seat belt female lock. The big difference come in the mounting at the 'B' pillar. The MJ retractable section it totally different from the XJ's. The XJ are longer due to mounting at the floor, where the MJ's retractable section mounts about mid point on the 'B' pillar. It's best to find a set of belts from an MJ for your replacement.
