2wd -4wd swap ?

i have a 86 comanche long bed 2wd, i put it a ax5/np231 out of a yj. I havent looked into the shift linkage from those but i have the piece in the cab in. is there cherokee shift linkage the same from that tranny /tcase

Cherokee shift linkages will be identical for your MJ. So if you get the linkages from the same XJ that your tranny and T-case came from, it will work perfectly.

 

Did you swap your front axle yet? If not, you can use the one from that XJ too if it's the same gearing as your current rear axle.
