Cigar plug option?

Was having power to you ciggerette lighter an option? my 86 and my first 88 both had it, there was two wires going to the back of the plug. the 88 i have now only has one wire. could i just get the wires from an xj of the same year?

I believe that the two wires are;positive from your batterey and negetive for a ground wire. And thats all you would need. I would find out what wire (color) that goes to your liter now, if its positive then run a ground and then you would be ok. If you need a positive lead you can go off of your radio or some other power sorce.
