sprtsfrk
First of all my manche has a TERRIBLE smell of gas in the exhaust. And at 3000 rpm it pours out black smoke! This happened since I've replaced my clutch. I thought it was because I hit my oxygen sensor and thought maybe I damaged it. So I bought a new one. I made sure I disconnected the battery and stuff before I put the new one in. Then after 15 minutes I put the terminals back on and fired it up. Still reaks! Then I mess with the tps (throttle position sensor) and make it run as lean as possible. Literally I can't adjust it any further. And it still is running rich. My next guess wud be the egr valve. But idk if that wud be it. I'm gunna make sure all the spark plugs are gapped right again and clean those up. Maybe that might be it. Any help wud realllllllly be appreciated. I love my manche and want it to last forever
JeeppinTom
Could be the Map sensor, coolant sensor, or IAT sensor. All effect fuel mixture. Since you have done the o2 sensor, the MAP would have the next greatest effect on your fuel mixture in my opinion.
87manche
I'd look at the IAT or coolant sensor. MAP sensors don't usually go bad. You can test all of those with a DMM. Alos, adjusting your TPS to change your mixture isn't a good idea, it needs to be adjust for the proper voltages so the ECM knows how far you've stepped on the gas. It could also be an injector stuck open, or a fuel pressure problem. Did you hit any of the fuel lines? A pinched fuel return line could do that by spiking the fuel pressure at the rail. Check the fuel pressure, should be 31 PSI with the vacuum hose on and 39 PSi with it off. I'm fairly sure of those numbers.
sprtsfrk
This is definatly going to sound ridiculous and make u guys think I have no clue about any vehicle, but the MAP sensor vaccuum line leading to the sensor was disconnected. It was hiding under the wires so I couldn't see it, until I checkedeven closer to all the lines. I had the truck started and then put it on and it stopped the over fuming all together. It runs smooth now and all I need now is a trans mount. Thanks to everyone who helped, you all gave me a good idea about how to fix it if it happens again. Thanks guys!
