  1. This is definatly going to sound ridiculous and make u guys think I have no clue about any vehicle, but the MAP sensor vaccuum line leading to the sensor was disconnected. It was hiding under the wires so I couldn't see it, until I checkedeven closer to all the lines. I had the truck started and then put it on and it stopped the over fuming all together. It runs smooth now and all I need now is a trans mount. Thanks to everyone who helped, you all gave me a good idea about how to fix it if it happens again. Thanks guys!
  2. First of all my manche has a TERRIBLE smell of gas in the exhaust. And at 3000 rpm it pours out black smoke! This happened since I've replaced my clutch. I thought it was because I hit my oxygen sensor and thought maybe I damaged it. So I bought a new one. I made sure I disconnected the battery and stuff before I put the new one in. Then after 15 minutes I put the terminals back on and fired it up. Still reaks! Then I mess with the tps (throttle position sensor) and make it run as lean as possible. Literally I can't adjust it any further. And it still is running rich. My next guess wud be the egr valve. But idk if that wud be it. I'm gunna make sure all the spark plugs are gapped right again and clean those up. Maybe that might be it. Any help wud realllllllly be appreciated. I love my manche and want it to last forever
  3. thankz guys! well i don't know what happened, but for the past few days the noise has disappeared. Its not present at any time during the drive. I think my manche is just haunted...
  4. It looked good, no sliding, but the new kit didn't come with a new pilot bearing, is this common? You wud think that it would come with it wudnt u?
  5. The manche is a 1988 jeep pioneer, 4.0L 5speed, I believe it has the peuguot trans(sp?)
  6. The noise it makes is from the slave cylinder/ throwout bearing meeting with the pressure plate. It goes in and out of gear real harsh. So I think you're right with the master cylinder. But would this really cause the meet up of these two things w this grind?
  7. I was on the highway, when I pushed in the clutch going about 65 mph, then it made this loud squeel/grinding noise. It happened only when i pushed in the clutch, so i figured it was the throwout bearing/slave cylinder. I got a new clutch kit, and installed it yesterday. I drove it around and it was fine, but this morning starting it up, the same noise came back. I'm gettin frustrated with this truck because every week something else seems to be wrong w it. What could be the cause of this issue?
  8. Where did you find this harness? I need one for my truck
