  1. Yeah its rauch creek in pa and yes the truck used to be red, then gray, then black, then sand, now od. so its got 50lbs of paint weight. I chose 104 because i wanted as close to cherokee as possibly. (i believe they are 102) I couldnt get 102 because the rear springs hit the cab mounts on the unibody and instead of cutting them i just said good enough. i cut 16 inches out of the bed in front and rear of the wheelwell. The rear springs are comanche/s10blazer main leafs with the ends cut off and mounted inboard the rails they really flex well. Definately recomend to shorten the wheel base, it is a night and day difference wheelin this thing. also it used to eat up those long rear driveshafts on rocks, i carried 2 spares.
  2. just got a few pics up for the first time of the manche. they are under the projects link. The 60s i am building are for this jeep, i just need to finish the rear steer one.
  3. sorry no pics of the build, but its a 1988 jeep mj 4.0high outputand a auto. Was a 7 foot bed , now is a 4 foot bed. too 32 inches off the frame. 35 inch bfg muds on beadlock wheels. 4.56 gears locked front and rear. ford 8.8 disc rear axle. rear hybrid springs moved inside the framerails for better flex. Will try to get more pics up

  5. well if you just grind the welds off the knuckles don't seem to come off. the welds penatrate deeper than just surface. also are the inner axle seals machined into the axle tubes. Where can you buy .5inch thick axle tube.
  6. I need to remove the axle tubes from my dana 60 center section. I believe I have seen this done by someone on here. drill plugwelds and press them out? I also have to get the tube machined out of the knuckles.
  7. I may be interested in going. I already have a trip planned dec 20th to rc, so I need to try not to break it too bad. If you could, see if any others are going that may want to do some blacks

  9. I have a 88 comanche with the 4.0 and I'm planning on putting a 98HO 4.0 in this weekend. I know I need to change the exhaust, tps and a few other things but what about the flex plates? will the flex plate from the 98 work or should I try to swap it from the 88.
  10. I have a long wheels base and i was hoping to get enought cut off so I could put on a short bed cap.

  13. I have a 87 long bed. Is there any other makes that will interchange caps? s10, ranger, dakota?
  14. I also have a set of 96 s10 lift springs but are they the same distances from the center pin
  15. I just bought a 88 comanche today and it has a broken rear leaf spring. I was wondering if Xj rear leaf were the same length. I have a set of xj lift springs that i thought i could spring the comanche over with.
