  2. 34.5" on the XJ 30.5" on my MJ
  3. Wonder how I could measure?? Just don't want to order the wrong springs for the rear. Do you think I could swap the front over to the MJ, then measure the rear to see how much I need it to come up?? Thanks
  4. This is my donor XJ.... trying to get an idea of lift size that is on the donor, either by looking at the pics.... or some direction on how to measure. Need to know what size springs to buy for MJ rear because i am going to swap the lift to the MJ. Thers is a "Rough Country" sticker on the driver visor that talks about driving a vehicle with a lift. THANKS!!! crazy looking shock extender
  5. i am pulling all engine harness and pulling all dash harness from 92 XJ and swapping to 88 MJ. did not really want to pull wires from floorboards back, so if i can't plug XJ harness to MJ rear (fuel pump, lights, etc) i will just splice since it should be just a few wires.
  6. I got the dash apart on the 92 XJ, so I can swap the harness to my 88 MJ. Am I going to have to splice some wires for the fuel pump, rear lights, etc, or will the XJ dash harness just plug into the MJ rear wiring?? Hope this makes sense..... Thanks!!
  7. thanks! thought i was missing something
  8. Sorry for the stupid question..... but there is no vacuum accuator on the 92 XJ that I just picked up..... Would you give me more info on this axle?? Thanks
  9. nice mj...... what lift are you running?
  10. I believe so.... I plan to take all that stuff from XJ to MJ. There are a few driveshaft shops I have seen close by, that did slip my mind. Its a longbed. Thanks for all the responses!
  11. i know there is a bunch already written on this topic, but any input is appreciated!! I have an 88 MJ 2wd and I just bought a 92 XJ that I will be using as the donor. Pretty straight forward in my mind, however I have never done more wrenching than insalling a lift on my CJ. here's the plan.... - Pull everything from under the hood on the MJ - Pull everyting from underhood on the XJ and put all in the MJ - Pull all dash, wiring and interior from MJ - Install all dash wiring and dash from XJ to MJ - Install front end from XJ to MJ I plan to change water pump, thermostat, belt and radiator while engine is out. I will be borrowing an engine hoist, but will be doing most of the work using hand tools. Am I missing anything?? Thanks!
