  1. YES. IF you don't mind, that would be nice. letme know if you come up with anything. Maybe we could do a quik Ebay deal. throw it on there with a buy it now maybe. or something
  2. TYVM. much appreciated
  3. Wow, awesome to hear. & Thanx.
  4. Hope this isnt a repost. Apologies if it is. I have a 4.0 Renix engine and use a mechanical SUN pressure gauge. When i start the jeep 1st thing ,my pressure sits around 40-60 ...after about 10-15 minutes driving ....It will read as low as 17 at idle. this concerns me. Would like input weather i should be stressing or not over this. Never seen it go below that no matter how long it runs, but still ....
  5. Hello ....ok ,quik & to the point : 2 months ago I totalled my Tailgate. Trying to find a replacement is like looking for a winning lottery ticket seems like. So,all i can think of is to get one of those Net things in place of the tailgate. Problem is....any of the net tailgates ive seen ALL have some big goofy white LOGO across the center of the net or company name, whatever brand makes it. I don't really want a Logo or any NON jeep thing advertised in plain view . Has anyone got any suggestions on what I should do for a tailgate? walmart has the net gates for under 20 bux. but they also have the big white brand name right in the center of it. Plus the net gate is only nice for 6 months to a year before it fades & starts to sage a little. Has anyone ever has a substitute gate made maybe and if so can ugive me an Idea. I wouldnt mind if it LOOKED like a net gate, but made much more durable. Like abs plastic maybe, or thin metal or something. ....Tired of riding around Tallgate-less
  6. So the 91 & up were less complicated unde rthe hood, not so many secors & vaccuums. damn i need a 91 Comanche lol
  7. You call Geico every few months to swap insurance to a different vehicle. You went out and bought a new craftsman toolset Your under the dash looking for a short. Your garage looks a U-pull it junkyard
  8. Id sure love to do that. i look under my hood and just see so many things that doesnt seem to serve much purpose, but i know they do. Just not sure what. I wonder if 91 comanche were renix. I thought AMC were kinda outta the game by late 80s.
  9. Sorry if this is sorta a repost from an earlier topic. Something I'm curious about. Ive seen a 93 cherokee wit the same features & options and 4.0 engine tranny as my 88 comanche. Yet ......Under the hood, their engine compartment looks neat & simple. It has about 20 less vaccuum lines & several wires less than mine has. It basically looks twice as neat & simple as mine does. I wish there were a way to "model" under my hood an exact replica of the 93 cherokee i seen. And ive seen other jeeps too same nicely layed out simple looking under the hood. But I'm wondering........WHAT IF- someone were to remove every line & wiring harness from my engine compartment .......and using the "simple looking" 93 cherokee as a blueprint or guise, and hook it back up exactly like that one is. Know what I mean? Like.....Wouldnt it funtion properly, since thier 93 4.0 is wired & hooked up that way? Like.....Convert MY 40 engine bay to be exactly like Their 93 4.0 engine bay. just sems like so much unnesesary clutter under my hood ,which makes tracking down a problem twice as hard, & cleaning even harder.
  10. Are the 91 Comanches the same under the hood as say an 86? or the same as an 89? or even an 88? Just wondering.....Under my hood on my 88, its like spheggetti. Insane vaccuum line, wiring harness ran random places to who knows what. strange items i don't even know what they are. COMPLICATED . I have to wonder.......if its abit of technical overkill. My friend told me in 88 AMC were in the process of merging with Chrystler or whatever,so they were doing funky things and the end result is whats under my hood. Just wondering.....if I found a 91 Comanche ,would under the hood be any neater or less "clutter" ?
  11. My doors usewd to leak, but I added a thin shim because they had a slight sag, allowing water to trickle in at the top. My wtare bottle used to leak, but I cleaned the lid real good & the threaeded top part & i tighten it really tight, now my water lasts a few weeks atleast b4 refilling/
  12. I just did a search in the main search box for JEEP COMANCHE ,but will give it a try again. I wish C L had a way of searching the entire state rather than by city. Ty for the tip. def. appreciated
  13. Am I the only one who has a High maintenance Comanche? Every week it seems like a whole new Nother thing or project I need to tackle. Wether it be tracking down a wiring issue, or adjusting a door, or a wheel hub rubbing when turning a corner. Or the power steering pump whining on revs, even though th eRes is full. Ive been working on my truck for well over a year, from one project to the next. And Ive found that ...its almost there. I just need to do THIS now, or THAT. The THIS & THATS never stop though. I just want to Enjoy driving the Truck. 6 months of no breakdowns. 6 months of no "needs to be replaced or upgraded". 6 months of trouble free enjoyment. I really REALLY like the truck. I truly do .....but as silly as it may sound, I think my truck is Jinxed. Just wondering if anyone else seesm to also have a Jinxed truck that doesnt give them trouble free "start & go" enjoyment.
  14. Couldnt find the one on CL from ocala. STill looking if anyone knows of one.
  15. UPDATE: I have now swapped out the new master, for ANOTHER new master .Plus i have anew clucth line on its way .......Word to anyone with an even Slightly bad or worn clutch line...They are extremely hard to find. Amazon had one but its subject to B/O & a delay in shipping, Company out of france supplies them but they too are Out of stock. Found a guy on Ebay had 2 of them ....Now he has 1 ;) Sorry but it was years ago and I don't recall which wrench I used. Wouldn't rule out of having used 3/8's or something. I might of even used a huge adjustable wrench for leverage.
  16. Does anyone know if 3 month old gas thats been sitting wil;l cause the engine to almost stall when you takeoff like at a lite or a dead stop? after its going & the RPMs are up it runs great, just when taking off I have to barely give it any gas. otherwise it will try & stall. I used some old 3 month old gas thats been in my garage in a can. it WAS good gas when i bought it. I put some SEAFOAM in the tank, but that was 4 miles ago with no improvement.
  17. HAHA - Good 1
  18. TY, I will check into that. Much appreciated.
  19. UPDATE: Ive swapped out to ANOTHER new Master cylinder ....still can't get the system bled. And the threaded area/Line still stays damp with brake fluid. ....SO,ive ordered a whole nother Clucth line to replace the old one ....hopefully with a new master AND new line it won't leak, which I HOPE will help in successfully bleeding the system. But since the thing started when i bumped the key & slammed me into atree & totalled my tailgate,I'm pretty fedup with the truck because its very very high maintenence. But I will install the new line & bleed the system completely & go from there.

  21. Today i backed into a leaning tree & bent in the top section of my tailgate. i am so frikkin mad right now,at myself ,that i can barely type. ...I'm postintg this here, just incase anyone knows where i can pickup another tailgate. color doesnt matter, very light minor rust is fine, few tiny dents or scuffs is fine. It just needs to be structurally solid. email me at warlo_k ,thats my yahoo email.
  22. Thanx ..I'm just gonna swap out my 3 week old Master for a new one. This one kinda feels like possibly i may have blown the seal out./ probably from pumping it 327840982741 times trying to bleed it. Sorry but it was years ago and I don't recall which wrench I used. Wouldn't rule out of having used 3/8's or something. I might of even used a huge adjustable wrench for leverage.
  23. BLEEDING THE MASTER CYLINDER FOR THE CLUTCH IS NOT MAKING ANY SENSE. AIR FLOWS UP,NOT DOWN ......SO WHY WHEN WE BLEED THE CLUCTH MASTER CYLINDER WOULD WE OPEN A BLEEDER NIPPLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUCK?? WHY WOULDNT THE BUBBLES JUST GO UP NATURALLY TO THE RESERVIOUR? THIS HAS ME CONFUSED,TRYING TO BLEED THE AIR OUT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUCK,ALL THAT COMES OUT IS BRAKE FLUID,UNLESS I'm MISSING SOMETHING.
  24. Ive tightened mine to where the 11mm small wrench started to slip, gumming up the nut even more. But it was still starting to put a lotta pressure against the master cylinder with how tight I had it even then. ..I didnt wanna A:Round off the threaded nut , or B: damage something by pushing too hard against the Master cylinder. ....I figured it should be tight enough but hmm ...Did you use an 11mm? small wrnch or bigger one? just wondering because maybe, just maybe it can be tightened a slight bit more if I use a slightly bigger wrench.
