  1. Progress has been slow because of the weather and I'm working in my driveway but I'm moving the truck closer to the garage tomorrow and hopefully ill be able to finish up prepping for the floors. I'm also wondering about re installing the seats because I'm removing the upper frame rail piece which has the seat studs and is an inch or so higher on the outer side for the seat bracket. And when i go to put the seat back in the seatbracket won't fit flush like it used to.
  2. Like the posting says, I'm looking for a clean Donor truck with either a blown motor or lost title. And I'm also looking for a Rust free Long bed. I'm in the Chicagoland Area. Please hit me up if you know of anything. thanks
  3. ^agreed. He couldve kept things private, Talked to his daughter. And sold the laptop and bought himself something nice instead of wasting money. Pretty stupid move to "teach" your daughter a lesson. He just taught her to post her problems on youtube instead of facebook.
  4. Yea tell me about it. I have a question for you guys. What should i do with the plug and wire that goes through the floor on the rear driver side when re installing the pans Pic attached.
  5. The 31's Fit well with the stock ride hight, I don't rub on the control arms, but i did a little on the front inner fender, A little trimming with the tin snips and bam. Your good. UPDATE Ripping out and re doing the headliner as well. Pics soon
  6. ANd after a few hours of Spot weld cutting And grinding i got this! And I kind of test fit the pan in the passenger side. A little long because its for a cherokee but that should provide some decent scrap metal to patch with. As you can see this is going to be a large fab job! i might weld in the floors where i can and glass the rest of the inner cab. Then put new rockers on the outside. Who knows!?!? I'm definitely open to suggestions!
  7. Here are some better shots of my lovely Rustmanche and its damage!! And my New floors pans waiting to go in!!
  8. You guys ready!?! When i pulled up my carpet this is basically what i found. Only minor hammering and trimming has been done in these pics. I'm literally so suprised no one kicked through the carpet when in the vehicle because there were literally ZERO floors in there. Anyway, On to the pics!!! As you will be able to see. I need to rebuild the cab a good bit. Also not seen in the pics, i shop vacced about 40 lbs, Yes 40 lbs of dirt/rust chunks out of the frame rails. Some of the carnage.
  9. I'm out by The Fox river grove area. And thanks guys! I'm going to try and post up some Rust carnage pics right now! You guys thought your floors were bad! :help:
  10. I like it! Ill go grind crazy on this thing today! hopefully ill have some rust carnage pics up soon as well!
  11. Definitely! ive been working on getting the floors out. Man, i think there the worst ive ever seen. But anyway, ill post pics, and if anyone has awesome welding skills that would help! i have a hobart handler with no gas, lol
  12. So whats up guys! My Name is Nate and Ive been lurking on this forum for years now. Ive owned 3 comanches now. This one is a 1992 Pioneer Inline 6 with 166k Longbed 4x4 and Bucket seats, center console, vent windows, and rear sliding window. I bought it for 600 bucks and I probably shouldnt have because its rusted out sooo bad!!! But anyway I'm with it now and if it didnt run so well and have the options i like, i don't think i would want to keep it. BUT IT DOES SO I LIKE IT! lol I plan to fix the rust! and bring this comanche back to somewhat of a glory!! I bought it with dinky tires on it , i don't have any pictures but i immediatly got some 31's and threw them on. I also did a full tune up, belt, steering stabilizer, valve cover gasket. and put new 4x6 Polk audio speakers in back and pioneer 5 1/4 up front. And fixed the hood latch as well as the interior lights. Not to mention detailing the whole interior rediculously because it smelled like smoke and ash. But anyway let me post a few pictures. Now its time to tear out the floor and start cutting away the rust on the besides. This will be my first official rust repair. Or should i say Swiss Cheese Rot Repair. Either way it should be interesting. I bought some spot weld cutters, cut off wheels, and New full floorpans From c2c. Updates hopefully soon! please comment and stay tuned! also any Illinois jeepers are welcome to help! lol
