  1. Yeah it’s fully attached to the studs in the dash however not seated in the steering shaft in the picture. Here are some better pictures of the flange which I’m now realizing is way worse than I originally thought. No clear damage around the firewall or anything like that. I really appreciate the offer unfortunately it’s a stick lol I'm gonna keep trying to bend it straighter, hopefully that gets me somewhere eventually lol
  2. Update: got the column completely out and straightened up the flange as best I could After test fitting the column and attaching it to the dash correctly, the flange is now almost an inch from the firewall. Beginning to think something is wildly wrong here the flange almost looks smashed into the column or something, you can kinda tell in the last pic
  3. I have the flange fully unbolted and I still can’t seem to get enough length to get it to line up. Is there anyway to get some extra length out of the steering shaft if I unbolt it in the engine bay?
  4. Just realized the one bolt is missing. Anyone have specs on that? Can you elaborate a little more in what you mean? Here are some random pictures if any of these show something I’m missing Side note is everyone’s under dash awaiting this much of a mess
  5. Yessir came with the truck! Everywhere I park is pretty flat and it’s a manual so I just put it in gear, haven’t had a problem thus far.
  6. Sure can Is there some kind of play I can get out of the Column or something? It just feels way too far off.
  7. When replacing my ignition switch earlier in the year I found that the bracket that attaches the column to the dash was only held in with one of the nuts. On top of that none of the bolts that attach the bracket to the column in were there. I have the bolts now but I cannot for the life of me get them to line up properly. Column seems to be almost an inch too far forward. Has anybody else found a solution for this? Found a couple posts that sounded similar in a few different forums but no definitive answers. Thanks!
  8. Thank you! Very thankful the PO left pretty much every part he took off in the bed when I got it. Had all the flares and a lot of interior pieces including the lower dash and mini center console

  10. Copy that, will do that tomorrow
  11. Wanted to finally create my own build thread to keep track of the build and give me a base to ask questions when I have them so here we go. Back in June of 2025 I purchased a Comanche with intentions of using it as a daily for work to keep miles off my wrangler. Here it is the day I got it: After replacing the harmonic balancer and most vacuum lines, I drove it occasionally to work and the rare weekend drives around town on the 20 year old tires it came with. Spent some time around the junk yard and replaced the whole grill assembly with one from a 96 and got the turn signals working(most of the time) as well as the side markers. From the same Cherokee the grill was snagged from I also scored an entire front bumper, deflector, and end caps. After that I did some small fixes as fall and winter hit, including valve covers, several cruiser mods, and fixing the radio. Radio was just an open hole when I purchased it and there were no speakers so using a multimeter to identify speaker wires wasn’t too fun lol. Only have the door speakers for now. Received some brand new tires for Christmas and after getting those put on I started putting a lot more miles on her. Starting around February I was putting almost 70 miles a day 4-5 days a week with little trouble. Eventually the inevitable happened and the rear u joint gave out on the high way during rush hour. Had her towed home and replaced it the next day Skipping forward a few weeks I chose to give her the old rattlecan paint job in my dad’s drive way. Went way better than expected but it’s a 20 footer for sure lol And that brings it all up to speed
