  1. I'm not sure if I should have posted this in the classifieds but I saw this on craigslist. I know that these roll bars from a toyota fit in a Comanche so I thought someone here might be interested if youre located around southern Indiana, anyways here it is http://evansville.craigslist.org/pts/2122761367.html
  2. thanks...i just never have used them..always bought spring packs..i was just thinking about the thickness moving the axle toward the vehicle rather than arching the spring pack!
  3. How does an AAL work with MJ's are spring under?
  4. IIRC and I'm unsure but I think i read up to 92' the floor/console was the same. Maybe that was just for the seat brackets though. I just bought my MJ back that i sold 6 years ago and I'm looking into changing/dying the interior as well. Maroon exterior with red interior isnt cutting it. What was Chrysler/AMC thinking :clapping:
  5. hey all. So I recently bought back my first vehicle, an 86 comanche lwb. The guy that I sold it to originally replaced the 2.8 with a 3.4 and the vacuum lines are a disaster. He had capped off like 50% of the lines and it doesnt run the greatest. Does anyone have a schematic or diagram of the vacuum lines for the 2.8? My father in law also gave me an 88 sportruck 2wd swb with a blown 2.5 that I may swap the drivetrain from mine to. Its pretty much all bolt in if I'm correct. So either way ill have an 86 lwb or an 88 swb on here to be able to sell some parts to you all. Ill get some pictures up soon!
  6. yea its the diaphram thats bad. Not running the brakes are good and stiff with no pedal travel, once started the pedal drops to the floor, i can quickly pump up the brakes but being the diaphram is busted its constantly pulling vacuum and the engine wants to die. If not plugging the line completely maybe kinking it so less vacuum gets pulled might do the trick?
  7. Hey all. I recently bought my old Comanche back..need to limp it home. My question is that the brake booster is leaking and the brakes are very poor. Is it possible to plug the vacuum line and run it similar to manual brakes? I need to get it home, thanks!
  8. hey all! :waving: New to the forum here. I just bought back my first vehicle, an 86 4x4 longbed! The Guy that I sold it to originally replaced the junk 2.8 with a 3.4 out of a 94 firebird. He used the 2.8 manifold and carb and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what other 2BBL carbs can be used on these motors. Not wanting to buy a Weber and have more money in the carb than I spent to buy the truck back! I just want anything better than the old worn out rochester thats on it now. Oh yea the soon to be father in law has an 89 2wd sportruck with a blown motor that hes giving me for free. Plan on swapping the drivetrain to the short bed! All that aside what are some good 2bbl carbs that you all have used or seen used as I need a replacement. Thanks!
  9. thanks!
