1987 Jeep Comanche Chief 4x4 Has a 1997 4.0/Ax-15/231J in it. It was originally a 2.5L/5-speed 4x4. Has the original Dana 30 in front and Dana 35 in the rear. SWB. The sticker in the door jamb is gone, so no info there. Currently near Detroit, MI It is my daily driver in the winter and I drive it frequently in the summer. I'm maintaining it and making continuous minor improvements. It's been resprayed in the original red. The interior is tan with vinyl buckets, and it has the base gauge cluster. Had factory fog lights. Also had A/C originally, not currently. There is a cable operated locker on the front axle. The rockers and cab corners have been replaced, and both footwells have been patched. Has what looks like a homemade front bumper/brush guard on it, and I have a cap on it part-time. It currently shows 254k miles, but the speedometer/odometer weren't hooked up after the swap until I got bought at 246k. I am the current owner. The guy who sold it to me bought it in PA, and I bought it from him in Findlay, Ohio.
