Good info. Yeah, I think my rig has mostly original steering linkage and suspension. Seems I'll need to consider a mix of stock and aftermarket replacement parts, and not just focus on a 'kit'. Especially given that I'm not looking for a lot of height, or wanting to spend that kind of money. Thanks!

I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything 'current' regarding lifts and steering combinations. If you know of one please point me to it. I have a 4x4 short bed. I need a small lift (31x10.5x15 tires, Dana 30, 35) including upper and lower control arms, shocks, brake lines, rear leaf springs and all new steering linkage components. I don't know enough about this to make sure I get the right size parts separately so was looking for kits or a good parts list for suspension and steering components that play nice together. I'd like it to retain stock/good road driving performance, but also be fun to drive on long dirt/mud roads and trails (not going to be a rock crawler). Thanks!

I'm in the middle of refurbishing the tailgate, and looking for advice on removing these badges without damaging them. I've tried fishing line, but the line keeps braking (maybe I need heavier test, or metal wire...). Are there little studs behind these things, that are inserted into holes in the sheet metal? Thinking of trying heat gun next and gently prying with a putty knife... 2nd, any idea what these 4 little holes are? Zooming in you can see 2 in the indentation above Command-Trac, and follow over to the other side are the other 2. My current thinking is reflectors were there at some point? But seems kind of excessive to have put holes in the metal for that...

Progress with the seats! Mounted seat brackets (from Brandon Scarbrough) they are great - thanks Brandon! I used 1 5/8" x 13/16" 14 GA strut channel as the interface between the aftermarket bucket seats and the brackets, and the brackets fit perfectly into the floor studs. This made it easy to adjust the seat left/right for proper clearance. Dry fitted the seat. It is so nice and comfortable! In one of the pics I tried to show how the seating height is actually almost identical to the OEM buckets - even with the strut channel sitting between the seat and brackets.

Progress on the floor pans! Dry fitting the passenger side. Very impressed with the fitment of the full length pans from Key Parts, floor contour and bolt holes line up very well. In the picture I have not bent, forced, cussed at, or relief cut anything, just simply placed everything in where it goes. (I still need to cut the floor out underneath it)

Working on stripping old bed liner material a previous owner applied to the entire exterior/prepping for paint.

Swapped 88 gauge cluster with an 89 cluster (with fuel E/F indicator, tachometer)

New 31 x 10.50 tires! Part #Falken Wildpeak AT4W 31x10.50x15 And removable door mod. Removed fenders to make it easier to access hinges. Used a 10m ratchet wrench on a T40 bit. Checked the vehicle side of hinge and is in good shape - not loose and no broken welds. Cut the part of the door side hinge, and approximately 3/4" from bottom of hinge pin. Attached door side of hinges to the door Hinge mod finished and door back on

Rusted out floor pans. Working on pulling up the longitudinal supports, drilling out spot welds, prying, cutting, repeat. Passenger side longitudinal support finally removed

From these codes, how can I tell what the original engine, transmission, axles, etc.? A previous owner made some changes, and I'm not sure what's original... Right now, it's a good running 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, 4 speed manual. Thanks.

Front end with new/updated aftermarket parts... header panel, grill, headlight bezels, side markers, and freshened up bumper and end caps.

LOL! I recently got a new aftermarket, as y'all know they are cheap and readily available - pic coming up with the front end update status. But, good to know, as I still have the 21 slot, and will refurbish it and have it ready.
