Going to be replacing my radiator, should I replace water pump and fan clutch even though fan seems to spin fine and I don't see current pump leaking?.

So, attached is a photo of the passenger side of my comanche. I'm trying to figure out exactly what i need to remove to get radiator out. If you look at photo you see a torx head bolt, there are a few of these that run along the front. Do they need to be removed, or just the standard nuts that run along top? Also, two of those nuts are attached to rubber braces that run between top plate and radiator, I assume to,keep radiator from shaking, correct? Those nuts are freely spinning because they are broken and need to be cut off. I assume I have to,replace these braces, what are they called?

Anyone know if a diecast model was ever made of the comanche? Hot wheels? Matchbox? Maybe even a plastic model kit?

Pulling hair out here. I am trying to remove top plate of radiator to install new radiator. I have two bolts that will not back out. They turn freely with socket. I have tried to feel under the plate for presence of nut, cannot get fingers under. Attached is pic of one of the bolts. There is one same location, other side. Do any of these plate bolts have nuts? What am I missing? Why is something so easy so hard?

Hi,have an 88' Pioneer with 4.0 just picked it up from neighbor for 500 bucks. I need a new radiator. I can't afford 409 dollars for a top of the line. Can anyone recommend a decent one for 150 ish? My plan is to use it to my dad surf fishing so sand is only off reading I'm going to do, sand and occasionally snow. Truck won't be driven that much. As stated before it is a 4.0, it is auto with no AC. Thanks

So just started my 88 in order to move it, was idling pretty high. I heard what is best described as a backfire didn't think anything of it. When I went to back of vehicle i saw large amount of soot/carbon under the tailpipe as well as spread out across my garage floor about 4-5 feet. Truck seemed to not idle as high. Cause? Good thing? Bad thing? Neither? Thanks

Ok thank you, will do that. Another question concerning the filter, I got the filter and hoses off. Can you advise the correct hose size for the inlet/ outlet for filter, thanks. Just regular fuel hoses right?

I appreciate your help, right after I left that post I figured out that was the filter. Wasn’t aware of those types of clamps however, will try those. While I have you do you know if I could get a break down on my truck if I posted the vin, place of build, options etc?
