  1. It's about 8.5" long and 4" wide. Great run time on the battery and quick charge also
  2. Looking to see if anyone else has built one of the IcerbergRC Comanche or CrewManche bodies. I saw someone post about it on FB and got my wheels turning. Turns out they are a lot cheaper than the 1/10th scale and have a decent aftermarket part selection. I like the fact that I can build what I want my regular Comanche to look like and make sure I like the color scheme before having to spend the money on the real thing. I started with the C10 ready to go kit, ordered the Comanche Shell from IcerbergRC along with the square spot lights for the roll bar and converted it to magnet body mounts instead of posts. I also added the wheel well add on for the C10 so I could mount rock sliders to it, front and rear bumpers (front not installed yet) and brass diff covers for added wait. The brass diff covers were a huge help to keep it from flipping while going over obstacles. This thing is getting me through back surgery recovery since I can't work on my truck with my current restrictions. It's small enough that it can be used in the house and pretty much use anything to make a climbing course for it. The fact that you can't really find any other MJ toys or models sealed the deal for me getting one.
  3. That's awesome, thanks for the quick turn around with the info.
  4. Great set of rules, it really encourages knowledge sharing and learning. Some other forums discourage people from asking questions from all the b.s responses you get from people that think they are being funny. I've been stalking this forum for years and finally getting a chance to get my hands dirty with my 87 Comanche. I've been acquiring parts over the past couple years (Turbines from CT, truck from MD, Rollbar from NJ) and one thing I have noticed, the Comanche following has some really great people that are willing to take the extra time and help the newer guys, which is awesome. You can also make some good friends that you would of never met otherwise. Thanks for being an awesome community and helping the newer guys hit the ground running.
  5. 1987 Jeep Comanche Pioneer SWB Renix 4.0 I6 w/ 5spd 4x4 Driver door build date not visible, but found 11-26-1986 stamped under front cowl. I originally picked it up on the Maryland/Virginia border line from a small dealer. He found it in a field in Virginia and made it street worthy again. Now it lives on the Jersey shore/ Pine Barrens in NJ. Been parked for about a year due to electric gremlins, but finally getting the time to jump all in and clean up the grounds and going through Cruiser54s tips and cleaning her up. The exterior is red with a black interior with bench seat. I believe the person I got the truck from redid the interior. Floor shifter. With all of the help from this forum and FB groups, I have been able to get a decent amount done and source some great parts (Turbines, Rollbar) and want to especially thank those who went out of their way to make reproduction parts available again (Roll bar brackets, Visor, tailgate bushings, cab vent rubber vents, etc) You guys are awesome.
