  1. I can get a 4wd ax15 for 200 complete, no point in replacing a 2wd tranny in New England
  2. so what are the plans? I have a line on a mint 99 cherokee white in color, if all works out, get the front clip, doors and everything, paint the bed to match (after patching up) and get the 3m wood grain for it, billett rims with fat whitewall tires a 99 Grand Comanchioneer, unless that word is trademarked, I'll photoshop what it "could" look like when I get the chance
  3. word was the engine ran good but tranny was stuck in reverse....being a 2wd if the tranny was no good I'd rather convert to 4wd than dump money into a 2wd internal slave tranny went to peep the tranny issue and found the MC was leaking all over the fuse panel, bad MC? could cause the reverse issue most of the fuses came out in four or more pieces they were so corroded replaced all fuses and have a new MC and lines ready to go in BUT...... bleeder valve is rusted solid, so unless anyone has a way to bleed a line without it or way to hack together Carl is going 4wd on a positive note, with ether and 2 year old engine oil started up and ran perfect for about 20 seconds
  4. so I bought this MJ about a month or so ago off of eagle while he was clearing his yard 89 comanche pioneer 2wd lwb carl has cancer, he'll need at least a double masectomy (both floor pans) and bed/tailgate work and both rockers
  5. sorry, last post was from my shattered phone screen so didn't come out right, pump is shot even jumping from the connector off the pump, new one on the way, good news is that it started right away with starting fluid (after a year or two of sitting)
  6. I commented on the routing because the engine will not be cranking, so no need to wrry about the fan, no lick with the resistor s ;) o wired to the electrical connectocylrs from the pump and nothing so ordered a new one, considering the rust/rot on te one in place was ao good idea anyways
  7. Awesome, thank you, I also appreciate your optimism but fuel line runs into a gas can, not engine bay s :wrench: o the fan won't be an issue.
  8. Trying to resurrect an 89 MJ, entire fuse panel is shot from a leaking mc can't tell which relay is the fuel pump and ballast resistor has char marks on it, obviously fuel pump won't prime and I need to get the varnish out of the tank Soooooo All the threads I've read say jump pump directly to battery but no one ever says how to do it, could someone explain using small words, pictures perhaps?
