Location of VIN numbers
Rotten Ralphy replied to Phillip Gwin's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I can't speak for a '90. My '88's are located on the driver's door, the radiator support, and also has one in the glove box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I will try, but they are buried in mud and briers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In that yard, I asked him if I bought a front axle, what their process was. He said they would drop the axle and give it to me. Where the jeeps are sitting, the briers are taller than they are. So it's kind of hard to see anything. However, if I get a chance, I will see what I can find out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn't snag anything, well, except for my clothes on all the brier bushes...lol. I may go back for the front axle, even though it's the wrong gear ratio. I can use the spline shafts and axles, depending on the price. I asked about hoods and he said around $100. I will post additional photos here in a minute.

Yes I have the vins. They had written the gear ratio on truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

By the way, I talked to Stuckman salvage. They said they are both 2 wheel drive models from the 80s. I plan on driving up there tomorrow or the following day to at least get the Vin numbers and see if they have decent bumpers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
