  1. South Central Wyo.
  2. Ok, that's what all the info at the bottom is. Rock on. Thanks guys
  3. Issue being we have stingy salvage yards(both local salvage yards have a plethora of Comanches, Cherokees, they're just reluctant to sell parts) and the closest pull apart is 60 miles. My issue, the housing that is currently on my pick up is gouged, from some one removing races with a cut wheel. I've heard varying things on how big an issue this is. If it is not a big deal than, What is a good source for casual use, ring and pinion sets? (or if it is a big deal than I'll plan a day to the pulling yard)
  4. Assume i'm mostly new to all this.. Wheel bolt pattern is the tire mount? and wheel mating surface is ? is that like, where the tire sits in the well? I prefer actullay asking people as opposed to solely relying on youtube.
  5. knew I forgot something. Only one we could find was from a full size(which I hadn't even thought of before, I just saw wagoneer) . Leaf springs on my MJ are shot, Ring and Pinion all chewed up.
  6. That's probably a better way to put it. I was looking for a Dana 44, Jeep Recycler had one off a Wagoneer. I read on the forum somewhere that the Leaf springs match up, and my buddy, and the shop mechanic, said to ask about housing shackles, since we want to drop the old, which has some gouging in the bearing race seats, and bolt this one in. I've got welders, etc. if I have to adjust them(the shackles that is)
  7. What adjustments might I have to make, to an axle housing from a Wagoneer. Leaf Springs measure out right, gear ratio is right, will we need to adjust shackles or will those line up as well? Knowledge of course being power.
  8. Just flat out dies, if not being revved, and thank you for the correction. So, you can start it up, drive it, but, you have to be revving the engine or shift to neutral, and maintain a steady pressure on the gas to keep it going. He was thinking of selling it, but he's kind of attached to it. He cleaned it, did the things he could think of, adjusted idle arms etc.
  9. Unrelated to MJs ... My dad has an 89 Wrangler that has a 4.0 with a Carburetor. According to the parts store this 7% of Wranglers. Does any one have experience with these carbs as , no matter what we've done, it will not maintain idle.
  10. I want to make the doors on my Comanche be like the ones on a wrangler you can take on and off. Is there a kit? Or has someone done this? I have a 91 Comanche Pioneer
