Got a little side tracked on putting tank in. Pulled, prepped, and powdered coated the valve cover Ford grabber blue. Thinking of doing the master cylinder black instead of a rust. Also stripped my windshield trim to prep for paint Bonus pic of my 72 bronco. Powder coated the new oil pan, lokar dipstick handle, and master Cylinder grabber blue. Master cylinder cap and hold down wire went black.

Thats what i was starting to wonder. Going to put my new tank and sending unit in first.

Finally found the motivation to work on it, replaced the fan shroud dirtbound offroqd battery holder, signal lens, and replaced my switch holder. Eagle- ive replaced the cancel cam, turn signal switch, relay and all the horn itself. Whenever i hit the horn without the hornpad on, i can see it arc. Going have to dig deeper and pull wheel again like you said.
-
Going to fix it tomorrow, move bronco out of the garage and avoid the rain. Still need to figure out why the horn doesnt work. New relay, horn, and bracket. Hasnt been high on priority list. Was trying to get it mechanically right first

Went on a bit of a hiatus, Body shop had truck for about a month. Argued with usaa for a bit about buyback of my truck. Woman slammed brakes to make an illegal turn with no signal. Went to avoid her and plowed into the back of her. Body shop claimed 3k in damage. I bought new upper and lower ball joints, side marker, and bed liner for bumper. Drove It home yesterday and have all the parts to fix it for under 300. Going to leave the header panel for a bit.

Gas gauge stopped working after 2 tanks. Stays on empty and the light is on. At the point, just going to put my old one back in and probably leave it. Not worth the hassle for a tach anymore. find it hard to believe that none of the ones I'm finding have the same issue though. I don't get why my original one works, but none of the replacement gauges Need to go to jy to return core on my ecu after i put the 90 ecu in.
-
Only did rad hoses, tstat, water pump, fan clutch and coolant bottle. In/ex gasket fixed the bog issue. Need to go to jy and swap clusters again and find new fan shroud.
-
Got it all back together, had the pipe welded locally. On startup it ran much better, blew the upper radiator hose when i gave it a quick rev. Gonna replace everything in the cooling system to be safe.
-
Went to replace gasket today. Found half the bolts were finger tight, also found a cracked egr pipe. Hoping once i go to JY tomorrow for new pipe it runs right. Pretty sure the loose manifold is why it was running so poorly.
-
Forgot I also returned the cluster to the junkyard and swapped it out for another. this one works with no issues for the past couple weeks
-
Did a little more recently, replaced the power steering pump and pulley, replaced tps, and deleted the c101. still trying to hunt down a misfire and bog at idle and above 3k rpm

Was surprised when i Saw that on cruisers renix tips. My 72 bronco has nothing like that. Never seen a factory do something like this When i probed the harness, had 8.6ohms resistance and dropped down to .7 when i was down
-
Put a new alternator in, solved my cutting out issue. Original was a 61a, went to a 93 k1500 105a alternator. Drives much better now. also fixed the ground harness, Duct tape and crimps..... thats a new one
-
Put the mj seat brackets i bought in, Seats sit a lot lower now. From them being wrong for so long, the seats can't towards the door pretty bad though
-
Put the new speakers and amp in, factory were blown. Drivers floor looks pretty good, passenger not so much. Cluster is bad as well. Reads half when its full, coolant temp is maxed out all the time too.
-
Thanks, Slowly getting it the way i want it. Everything has been simple and rather fun
-
Yep, it did. I don't know why, but ill take it.

Yep, was a crown that i ordered. Seems to be holding up pretty well
-
Ordered it on amazon, ended up being 60 shipped.
-
Let me test mine first, most likely take you up on that
-
Cool, thanks. Ill take it apart when i get back this afternoon. It was 3 screws, When you take the gauge out theres another that holds the base on
-
Ill take a look into that, cluster is on my workbench now. The gauge at first showed empty then went past the full mark. I pulled and inspected the connection sheet on the back and it looked fine (found the thread on it). Pulled the guage out as well but wasnt sure how to test it
