Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Ok, I knew there was a bolt in the middle of the one up higher.
  2. After removing my washer fluid jug, I moved this mess down here, with key on, and the fuel pump fires up and dash lights come on, but no power to starter. I cut and tied together the fuse link that was thought to be burt before hand and no change. But i do plan on fixing it the right way with your alls help. With the key on, i can grab this harness and wiggle it around and the fuel pump will come on and shut off depending on the way I move it around. So I'm guessing my problem has been here all along. Can someone tell me how to take it apart and what to check? I tried to remove the clip but i feel like I'll break it if I keep pulling at it. *Ive also re connected the original wire that i cut when i jumped to 12v*
  3. What would the correct rated fuse be? That should be a fuse link, previous owner did that. I noticed that when i bought it but had no idea what is was until all of this mess. I planned to fix it once i knew how.
  4. Ok, I'll look more into tomorrow. If it is fried, what's the next step? Replacing wire?
  5. I cut the covers off the links. Took a pic for y'all to see. They all look good to me, granted idk what a good or bad fuse link looks like, but theres not any corrosion or anything loose or burnt..
  6. Yea I know, I have an inline fuse 20a. but if I did have a solid 12v at the Red wire, and that was the only issue, it should start correct?
  7. So I cut the red wire and jumped it to 12v constant. Turn key and dash lights come now but no starter power.
  8. Where might I find this short to ground. I almost sold this thing yesterday because I'm so irritated with it 😆
  9. It went anywhere from 100 down to 7.7 ohms, to nothing then back to around 40ohms
  10. Yea my lead isnt long enough to go from red to the fuse links. I ohmd the wire that I'm using, its good. But I wiggled some wires around and the resistance changed. Red to ground and green to ground show no resistance.
  11. This is what I'm working with. This is the only terminal that gives me a reading. So I'm assuming this is the culprit. I'm not good at electric diagnosing.
  12. I removed the switch and done this without it mounted, not sure if it effects anything or not. But with key off, I'm getting 12v at red nothing else...with key on I'm not getting anything at red or any other wires. *When i say with key on/off, I'm moving the piece in the switch myself*
  13. What wires you wanting me to bp? And with wires plugged into ign switch or out of switch?
  14. Yes i have 12v at the Red wire going into ignition switch.
  15. No change in whats been happening. What wire can i make hot in the ignition switch to get it going?
