  1. Thanks ya i might just end up doing that, also does anyone know any drive shaft that is 42 inches long? I measured mine and it seems the cherokees is nowhere near what i need. So far i have only found tom woods custom ones
  2. So you think if i just buy a new front section of it then i should be good? Something like this
  3. I have a 97 swapped comanche and i am trying to hook the exhaust up but it seems anyway i connect it to the header it will be pointing the wrong way, is the exhaust compatible or do i need the exhaust from the cherokee?
  4. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try ha
  5. So this would get plugged in place of one of the bulbs?
  6. This is what i was trying to ask ha, i wasn't sure if they were the same plugs or not
  7. I have the entire interior swapped over from a 97 plus the engine and trans, i was wondering what work would be done to keep the front end, fenders and front clip from the comanche. I would think the front headlight harness from the comanche does not plug up with the rest of the cherokee wiring
  8. So if you use the older fenders you won't have this problem right? Also then the 97+washer bottle won't fit behind the fender from what i have been reading
  9. Yes xj swap, so what would you have to do to keep the front end original?
  10. Just wondering if anyone has done the 97+ swap but left the front end alone. I would assume you would need to relocate the washer bottle and rewire the lights but other than that is there anything else in the way?
  11. Newly rebuilt engine never had it running and when i go to crank it, it makes this puffing noise. Could this be my timing off? 20190528_140201_1.mp4
  12. Stumped the forum on this one i guess ha
  13. I have not had it running. But those years its directly on the pump, so I'm assuming the dakota pump has one on it too, is there anyway to test just the regulator?
  14. So i have the 97+ swap with the dakota fuel tank and pump, i go to start it and i can hear the pump kick on but it just keeps cranking. I hooked up a fuel pressure tester and it only goes up to 20 while cranking. Is my fuel pump bad? It has a brand new fuel line 20181216_103154.mp4
  15. Quick update, found the ground and grounded it. I can hear the fuel pump turn on and i primed it a few times tried to crank and it still won't start, tried disconnecting the fuel line at the fuel rail and nothing came out but if i disconnect it at the pump i get some gas coming out, could it be a clogged line?
  16. Ill take a look later this week and see if i can find it
  17. Does the black wire coming from the harness go straight to a ground?
  18. Ill have to look into it more, is there any connectors near it to make it a little easier to find?
  19. Any idea on what ground the fuel pump goes to?
  20. So finally got my other codes cleared up on my 97+ swap and go to start and it cranks but no start. Fuel pump isnt kicking on when i turn the key to the on position. I'm using the dakota fuel tank and sending unit and have double checked the wires to it and they are all going to the right place. Took a battery and jumped right to the fuel pump and it started to run. I also tried jumping the fuel pump relay but that didnt do anything. What connectors should i be checking next?
  21. That would be awesome if you could, i don't have one
  22. Ok so a little update, put a new dash harness and now the dash is working and so is the radio, still getting the no bus code but does anyone know what these two connectors go into?
  23. Honestly at this point I'm about to buy a new harness, i got the radio working but it only comes on with the key in the off position, something is messed up with the wiring
  24. So looking into the wiring more made me realize that the jeep i got the interior wiring harness from had a remote start hooked up, could not having that in be a cause of my problem?
  25. Just a bunch of dirt
