I would love to insulate the interior of my Comanche as well as be able to take a hose to it if I need to lizard skin and tractor implement paint worked great against a bb gun, rock, brick, hammer but as soon as I scraped it with a knife it came off. Any ideas? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk -
I wanted to build a truck. I had a budget of 500.00 1989 Jeep Comanche Base 2.5l manual. 450.00 1996 Jeep Cherokee sport 4.0 auto. I traded something for it to swap the drive train and one day attempt a motor swap. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Spring over or spring under
Pannicthrottle replied to Pannicthrottle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So basically I have a Dana 35 soa from my 96 xj and a Dana 35 sua from. My mj. My plan is to install my Dana 30 with a 3inch lift. From my xj And then try to level it out in the rear with the parts I have off the xj I have already split the leafs and installed the helper springs from the xj in to the Comanche leaf pack. I can cut.and weld the Perchs but I'm worried about the pion angle I have never had to deal with that be for. Side not the sua seem to be sezed. Would it be better to swap internals and keep the soa setup? if so can that be done? This truck will be a DD that probably won't see any off road action at all. Could some one please explain? Which way is better and why. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

New control arms or replace bushing?

When you say box in I'm sure your meaning weld flat stock over open back u shape stock then. Trim all factory edges? Upper will be get another set of lowers and make work? And this will let tje front axel sweep fowrad but centering more under the block from swinging down a few inches? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk -

Ax-4 and 242j??
Pannicthrottle replied to Pannicthrottle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wiggilez Thanks for the great information I live in the Hampton roads area of va i would love to get that part if your in the area. I would gladly give cash or trade other parts. I currently have that 242 on an automatic ax15 that is supposably bad. So for my next question. Should I keep my loveable ax-4 and try to swap the 242 or change the bell housing and drop in the ax15 after rebuild. Both parts can go for 150 new( the bell housing or the 21 splin from the 90's) My build is for nothing.more then a fun driving pavement princess. -
I want to take a 242 j from a 96 xj with a 4.0 ax 15 and install on my 89 mj 2.5l with an ax-4 Can I make the it work with minimal effort (bolt.right up)? Not worth the effort? Any Knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Thank you both I was hoping to here I could get it set up tacked and clamped then limp it 20mins to a guy that can weld it. No one thinks revers steering would be cool lol thanks again Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Bench seat to bucket
Pannicthrottle replied to Panic throttle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The first few things that were recommend were know mods that work. I didn't want to give up on my 1996 xj 4dr sport seats but they will not work with out major mods. I started looking for the right seats while trying to mod what I have. so far I have 25 dollars in steal that I bought to make the 96' brackets work. Today at a tow yard with a few Jeeps to pick from killer seats with the right brackets and the center console for 50$. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
