Gas tank under serious pressure (solved)
Deleted replied to Deleted's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yes I'm beginning to think thats the case too. Currently its just idling to burn some of the gas, I filled it last night and I did what I always do and stop after the first click. eaglescout526 pointed out that the previous owner may have swapped it and put in an aftermarket tank which have no baffles and that may have resulted in overfilling (learn something new every day). Ive never run into this before though so weird that it would just now start being an issue. If the issue persists after burning a good amount of gas today ill look into the other stuff. I probably still will just to be safe. I'm hoping youre right though and its just overfilled. This is definitely a first for me haha. I'm mostly upset about the paint getting ruined -

Gas tank under serious pressure (solved)

I really have no idea what caused this, I know i didnt overfill it, and it continued to leak like this for a solid 5 minutes after I took the gas cap off. Its important to note too that initially i went to loosen the gas cap to let some of the fumes out since it was dripping overnight apparently and it exploded and shot gasoline everywhere with a good amount of force (thus why i had a rag stopping it from going everywhere). I'm gonna be replacing all the lines, the vent relief valves and the charcoal canister in the hopes that this solves it tomorrow but any outside input might be helpful as this seems to have only become a problem overnight. Oh audacity isnt really a cataloguing software it records your records as you play them so you can store the recording digitally in case something happens to your collection. I just have them all in folders that i sift through and thats kind of my way of cataloging if that makes sense
-
Thats fair, i really like the album more for sentimental reasons as its the first one my grandma gave me and it kinda kicked off my love for vinyl and why i have a collection today
-
I usually run mine through audacity and id3 tag them so i have the .wav files on hand that way i can sift through them to A) listen whenever with ease or B) see what i have and don't have
-
Ive always wanted to do that but I wouldnt even know where to start lol, being a radio DJ sounds like a lot of fun

I do in fact have a record collection, as well as a decent setup that I'm kinda proud of: Audio Technica LP120-USB Darkvoice 336se Tube Amp AKG K7XX Open Back Headphones If I use speakers instead of the tube amp & headphones the turntable wires into my Yamaha RX-V657 Reciever which then goes into 2 pairs of 8ohm sony speakers that I don't know the name of off the top of my head. As far as vinyl goes ive got stuff from old westerns to modern future funk. Some of my favorites are 'Gunfighters Ballads & Trail Songs' by Marty Robbins and a first pressing edition of the Beatles 'White Album'

July 7th, 2019: Many up and coming plans. I got my hands on some near mint taillights that I'm going to be wetsanding and painting the accents with chrome. my current taillights are cracked but they used to have chrome accents and I really liked it so this time I'm going to do it again but better by sealing them with a few coats of acrylic UV protection when I'm done. Ill take before and after photos don't worry. I also have a lead on 3 more taillights (1 driver 2 passenger) that I'm going to be picking up soon that might hold on to or sell to have more jeep money. My cooling problems have started going away luckily and now she only gets hot if shes idling with the AC on in stop and go traffic but i haven't seen her above 230 for awhile now. I'm still probably going to be installing an HD fan clutch though to be on the safe side. My camper shell is sanded and ready for bedliner and Ive decided to go with roll-on herculiner as thats what my bed and lower portion of my truck have and I want it all to match. In the far future I plan on getting some carpet to help the floor that gets so hot you can feel it through your shoes. Along with this I'm also on the hunt for a center console that work with a stick and bench seat. Finally once all that is done I want to see about getting my headliner and doors reupholstered since theyre beginning to show their age. Maybe some window tint along the way since this is an Arizona truck but my windows are pretty scratched up and water stained so maybe its not worth it. Stay tuned and watch as my wallet gets lighter! -
dang I just saw this, i still have 2 buckles if you need them, theyre chrome and black with the underside and belt part being blue

I'm a little confused, its clearly wet outside, but theres no leaks on the inside. Is this a factory defect or something? (sarcasm because mine leaks from the top of the doors) -

what are those seats out of? -
I want to get to work on my interior now that the exterior is pretty much restored, currently mine looks like this and I need some inspiration on how to get it as mint as possible. I like the bench seat but I'm also considering bucket seats. Anyway lets see what you guys have and if it can help me get pointed in the right direction!
