Hey guys, I have two different odd noises coming from under my hood. #1) There is a "tick tick tick tick ......" noise that comes from down under, and I'm assuming it's just my lifters. Any suggestions or fixes? #2) There is another noise that sounds like some kind of pulley. This has arisen very recently, and I'm not exactly sure what it is. More than anything, it's just super annoying. It's very noticeable when idling, but becomes harder to hear as I start moving. Any suggestions? I understand that it is hard to diagnose a problem when you guys can't hear what I'm hearing, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone has had these noises. Anything and Everything is appreciated! Well, I just got back from my adventure and it was GREAT. I stuck to the very beginner stuff and had a ton of fun. I only got stuck twice, and managed to get out with a little help from my buddies. Thanks again guys for all of the great suggestions! :cheers: :Canadaflag:

Any suggestions of where I could hook up to without a tow hook guys?

The offroading that I will be doing will be VERY basic haha. I can promise you that. I now have 1 day until I leave on this excursion, and I was unable to tackle the tow point dilemma. I don't plan on getting stuck, but I guess that's not always something you plan on. If I were to get stuck without tow points, is there anywhere on my truck that I could safely hookup to?

Thanks for all of the replies guys. I will have another Jeep with me, that has a winch and tow points, so I'm set in that regard, but my Jeep does not have any tow points that I can see. Are there any other options if I were to get stuck? I do not have a welder, nor do I have welding experience so I would not be able to do it on my own. Hey guys, I'm planning on taking my 88 4.0 2WD offroad this weekend, and I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions of things that I can do to prepare it? Grease or clean anything? It hasn't been offroad in a very long time, and I'm just planning on doing very basic stuff. It's stock height, and obviously having 2WD is kind of a bust. I'd appreciate any suggestions though! From what I've heard, you can gain about 4.5 inches by doing a SPOA conversion? Could I just throw a pair of 4.5 inch coils on the front and new shocks all around? what else would I be needing? Extended break lines? Thanks Guys :Canadaflag: :cheers:
