  1. Do you have link to this post?
  2. Thanks!
  3. Thanks I appreciate that.
  4. Looks like I can't read also. I looked both up in the spicer drivetrain manual and must of looked at the wrong number. I stand corrected that is a 30 in the front. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll sit down now.
  5. Here are a few pictures of the axles. The first two are the fronts and the others are the rears. I am definitely going to be opening them soon to check the actual gear ratios.
  6. Pete, I'll take some in the morning I only have pictures of the stamps on the axle and data on the covers right now.
  7. Its 4x4 stock it wasn't converted.
  8. 1989, Jeep, Comanche. 4.0/ Manual / Transfercase / front D30 / rear D44 / Longbed Build date: 5-89 Current Location: 29 Palms CA. Status: Still on the road daily driver Notes: White exterior color, Grey interior color, Bench cloth, floor shift. Current owner: Owned by myself
  9. Just purchased my second MJ because my first one is on the East Coast and I'm missing it. I found a guy selling a 1989 long bed 4.0 manual. I paid $4,800 this thing runs like a champ. In all of my crawling under it and checking it out before I bought it I never looked at the axles. When I get home my buddy is here taking a look at it with me and we realize it's got stock Dana 44s I am ecstatic. I did some digging and according to the tags and stamp the front has 3.31 and rear 3.07... Previous owner already put a 3.5 lift on the front which is cool but the back was left stock. I'm thinking spring over axle in the rear I can't stand the squat. I'm looking forward to posting updates and getting some advice from the forum. he forum.
  10. Never mind sorry I did a little more digging and found the google link.
  11. Does it cost or is the 400 fee just to post?
  12. Yeah after looking around I seen a couple lifts that weren't to bad in price. The trans in my mache slips so I'm sure it will come down the line some time. I looked it over there are something on it that are still salvageable so if I sell 13 items for 20 bucks ill break even then scrap it and have the trans at the house and a couple extra buck to throw toward a lift. hell there are so many xj's around here on the base with out a lift I could sell that one for cheap too. Who knows I just have to have something to work on all the time.
  13. Well don't know if I'm posting in the right spot but here goes. Two months ago I finally got an MJ its a 87 long bed. I had it shipped to NC from NJ. I'm new to most of the stuff I'm looking at but I'm really enjoying it. Here's a question though I just found an 94 XJ that had a fire under the hood, the guy wants $250 for it. The engine bay and dash were destroyed but the tranny and trans are still good and it has a 3in lift on it. I know the rear lift won't match up on the manche as they are different. But I wondering if the buy is worth it just to have a trans and transfer and to use the front of the lift and maybe add a leaf in the rear. Thought about taking the doors also.
