Bobbed 89 comanche build
billytoad631 replied to billytoad631's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Should be out of a TJ. The front has a yoke as well. Got it like that so someone along the line changed the flanges for yokes. Probably so stock style shafts can be used Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

No real updates lately. Been focusing my spare funds on the upcoming holidays. I did manage to order and install this new stinky fab trans mount after my stock one took a beating on my last wheeling trip. Planning some upgrades starting right after the new year though- 34 replies

The speedo does not work due to the 241 having an electric speedo and the older Renix Jeeps having a mechanical one. Rear output on the T case was swapped to a regular yoke that I had Tom woods make me so no drive flange on the case anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

Rear ARB installed in the 8.8. I hated the way the Detroit behaved on the street with having a 5 speed. It drives much better on the road now with being able to unlock the rear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

It’s definitely a little loud. But once it pressurizes the system it hardly kicks on at all and if it does It’s only for a second or 2 so it’s not to bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

2 reason I took the bushwhackers off. 1 I think this set up looks way better and 2 the armor that was incorporated into the tube fenders will do a way better job protecting the body then plastic fender flares Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

Did a little update to the OBA today. The Jeep came with an air tank mounted under the bed but it was never hooked up. Decided to finally hook the tank up to my ARB compressor and I added air chucks to fill up tires and whatnot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

Swapped in a grant steering wheel with a quick release hub from ruff stuff and Did the WJ booster and master swap tonight. Haven’t gotten to drive it around the block yet but I rolled it around the drive way and it seems to stop much better then it did before. Can’t wait to take it for a test drive tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies

figured its about time i start a build thread for my comanche. don't really feel like doing a whole timeline so I'm going to start from how it sits now and just go from there here's a quick run down of the jeep as of 7/15/18 1989 comanche. originally was a long bed i bobbed it to just about short bed length 4.0/AX15 241OR from a rubicon 5.5 inch rubicon express coils and long arms. SOA rear on stock leafs bilstien shocks all around currie rockjock 44 with ARB and WJ knuckle swap, cavfab steering, PSC hydro assist and 4:88s ford 8.8 with a detriot, yukon C clip elim, artec truss and ruff stuff u bolt elim with 4:88s 37 inch KM2s on ATX beadlocks ARB on board air compressor recaro seats truck lite LED headlights 97+ header panel dirtbound E fans unkown front bumper, custom rear bumper T&M fab frame stiffeners the entire length of the jeep nates 4x4 rock sliders bushwacker fender flares ( I have taken them off since these pictures) I'm sure theres some other little odds and ends I'm forgetting but thats just a general over view i post a lot more of the build over on IG but ill try to keep up with this thread as well Here’s a few pics to give you guys a general idea how how it looks right now. I’ll update as I add more stuff to it And here’s a few pics from when I first got it pre bed bob and the bed bob itself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 34 replies
