  1. The carburetor I have is a carter yfa. I don't know what would be better for it but it worked fine on my old mj just got like 10mpg I get like 12 to 15ish right now Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. I'm sorry eagle. And it has a brand new fuel filter. I just rebuilt the throttle body and cleaned it out. And when I unplug the tps it will do the exact same thing just won't give a few minutes to do it. If I turn the truck off and let it sit for a minute and turn it back on it will do fine for a few hundred yards. I think it's the tps but I could be wrong Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. What does g in gp stand for Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  4. See on my way home just now it got to where I couldn't even press the gas at all without it just dying. On my road I stopped to tum it off and back on and couldn't even take off out of first without it stalling out. I know that has to be something with the tps but it's brand new has like three different ground I put on it so I don't even know right now Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. And I've never gotten either one of my mjs above 4k rpms. Even when they were both running strong (ones totaled) but this one is the problem with all the bucking and crap and I'm willing to upgrade exhaust and intake I'm just 16 and on a limited budget since how I pay for all my own stuff and do my own work Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. That's the reason I'm switching over. I'm having problems with it and it's pissing me off. I have all new ground I have c101 elimination. I just put a new map sensor and tps In. The tps worked for a day and then it went to crap again. Right now I'm having a problem with surging and bucking. Like at high speeds it will be a loss of power and taking off it will buck sometimes it doesn't have a pattern I can turn it on and off and it'll fix.for about a mile or two Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. All I'm doing is taking the throttle body off and putting the adapter plate and carburetor on with a regulator on the fuel line Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. My fuel system went out on my last mj and all I did was put a different fuel pump and the carb on there and adjusted the carb and it worked fine. Same distributer I'm using renix for the ignition and timing Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. Does yalls?* Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. Do talks get up to 5k rpm? On a 2.5l? I've only ever gotten it to 4k. And I do have one It's just not good on gas Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. Anyone know what carburetor would be best on the 87 2.5l? Non electrical and gets good on gas? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. Man I'm lost isn't mpi multi poet injection I don't even see any whole for the injectors in your intake. But that's a damn nice setup Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. So your using an mpi intake? Whatd you use for the holes for the injectors
  14. Well I have a 87 so I have unless I want to upgrade to ho I have to stick to the renix tbi system Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. I had a carbureter on my last 87 mj and it was an aftermarket pump and my carb is the one I'm thinking about using is not computer wise at all
  16. What problems would I run into while putting a 1 barrel carbureter on the 87 2.5l tbi. I already have the adapter plate I just want to know what I would actually have to change
  17. That didn't work and I even made new grounds
  18. I did that when you told me to the other day and yeah it's intact I'm gonna check the ground to the dip stick in the morning
  19. I also scraped the ground from the head to the firewall like you said
  20. Are talking abut your #5 tup the sensor ground? It's raining right now and I got work in an hour but I'll check it out in the morning and go from there
  21. And I did your c101 elimination this morning I couldn't find the ground slice coming from the map sensor though only the one from the tps and I didn't want to cut too much more tape off the wiring
  22. And it already has a brand new map sensor i just put on it about a week ago
  23. So I replaced the throttle position sensor and it fixed it completely for a few days and now it started again. It doesn't do it as badly but it still will do it after about 10 minutes of driving. What now?
