Ok I gave up the idea of headers. It is in but how did you get the oil pan to clear the steering drag link and stabilizer?

Thats good but I'm using the whole harness from the dakota. Under dash to. Trying to get the ignition right so i can use the jeep column. I figure if i can get it to start i can sit with a volt meter and do the instrument cluster. May need manual gauges for the basics you know.

I am to the wiring and holy crap. The mechanical is easy but this wiring sucks.

Those brackets seem to be the hardest to find. Maybe a dealer item I can get the rest. I may give in and buy a donor jeep for parts. I have a built motor for it with a518.

Is that the frame mounts? Just worried the the frame mounts for the 4.0 won't hold up.

You don't by chance have pictures of the motor mounts do you?

Hello your swap/build is very helpful. I have a 95 dakota with the 5.9/ a518 with a little work done. Under the hood the wiring is already been cleaned up. I am considering just swaping the interiors to but really like the mj gauges. You spliced in the xj dash with the basic lights wiring correct? Or did you go between the mj ,xj ,wj? I just trying to decide on either the whole dakota harness or splice the 2. Thank you for any advice thats a great looking set. O did you kill the dana 35 yet? lol
