  1. Just FYI that chrome capped tube is the NSS breather tube, supposed to make sure it sits in the wire loom
  2. Yes, I have the clamp Dang...I was under the impression the NSS was spendy spendy. Well now I know how to do it, if it ever goes 100% bad I know it won't cost a arm and a leg.
  3. Got it rebuilt and installed. Truck starts in park, reverse lights come on, and starts in neutral. The springs in the NSS housing were super gooey. I would really like to know that that rubber tube with the chrome cap is or its function. If my photos arent working just let me know thanks
  4. Hi all, long time user first time poster two questions, While removing I was using the retaining nut to pry the NSS of the shaft and stripped my nut (I was in neutral). Should I redo the threads or salvage a new nut and what it threads to at the junkyard? http://imgur.com/XfLtQGG Secondly, I have no idea what this part is on my NSS. Its a short tube with a chrome cap on it. Anything I need to worry about or do when I put my NSS back on? I'm all set up with my dielectric grease, brake cleaner, and wire brush. Testing in park, reverse, and neutral. Thanks http://imgur.com/FQud3ct http://imgur.com/X8rm4l5 http://imgur.com/8YIUzqu
