I am having a question about my manches vin number. I bought it and when I pulled the motor and trans, it has a ax15 in it for a trans. I was expecting a BA10/5. Glad it doesnt. Just want to know what it came with originally. It doesnt seem to breakdown according to the vin decoder. Any help would be great... :cheers: 1J7FJ26L2KL577809

It has one on the drivers side just under the deck where the head sets. It is about 6in long and there is another on the passenger side where where the dizzy goes into the block. Can I drill and tap a HO block for the knock sensor? Will all of my new parts fit a HO block? Crank, Cam, etc? Thanks guys

I bought a 89 Jeep Comanche 4.0 renix 5 speed 4x4. Well I planned on rebuilding the whole truck. I have had the trans rebuilt transfer case, rear ends as well. The truck is in very good shape. Here's the problem: When I bought the truck it was covered in mud. I mean covered. I pulled the engine and never thought about it anymore until I had bought a new crank, cam, lifters, timing chain gears, dizzy, had the renix head rebuilt completely, etc. Then I find out the block is cracked. :mad: :mad: :wall: :mad: :fs2: Can I use all of my new parts with a bare HO block???? Please help I can't find a renix block that isn't cracked around here for nothing. Please any help would be awesome.

Ok guys n gals I have just recently bought my first Jeep Comanche. It's an 89 model short bed 4x4 with an ax-15 and 4 liter. I bought the truck for 700 from a girl in KY that had buried it in a mud hole. :cheers: I have been looking on here for a few weeks now and I have found a lot of information. I have used the search feature, but still have a few questions. 1. Will a reese hitch from a cherokee fit the comanche? :???: 2. When people on this board refer to a "waggy" dana 44 rear end on here are they talking about the fsj? 3. Is there anyway to tell what model my jeep comanche was? It has been painted silver. :dunno: I will post some pics tomorrow as I will be reinstalling the cylinder head on the renix engine. Thanks all
