i just did a injector replacement and it cost me aboiut 130 for a brand new one ut it was well worth it carbs are great but there is a reason they are not put in vehicles now days.

it was a fuel injector and fuel regulator censer was just dumping fuel into the rear cylinders and flooding them before it could get spark in there. but thank you vary much for your reply. it run great now i have to fix the 4wd

hello i am new here i just picked up my first Comanche last night. It is a 1986 4x4 5 speed with a AMC 2.5L 5speed 4wd. i have good spark and it is getting fuel to at least cylinder 3 and 4 but i am not sure about 1 and 2. i can get it to run with starter fluid and will idle but vary ruff ( sounds like a tractor) the PO disconnected the EGR system. if i take the fuel relay out and crank it over it will fire whatever fuel is in the system and then die if i leave the relay in it will not fire and flood its self out really bad. any help would be great thank you.
