  1. Tossed the header panel on to get an idea of how the bumper will sit And for $#!&s n giggles: Started get the motor mount brackets ready for paint. Might get to them after work this week, other than that, that'll be about it until the weekend. Need to locate and order a new cowl weatherstripping piece since I broke mine removing it for paint.
  2. Color shot. I'll mask it off sometime tomorrow and paint the rest. Satin black for the "frame" and rubberized undercoating for the firewall.
  3. Both sides done. Going to do some final prep in the engine bay then possibly shoot some color before dark
  4. Thanks man! Yeah if it weren't for my ocd this thing would be done. I figure I should do this while it's apart. Well if I'm going to have it this far apart I might as well do this. Oh better paint this piece so it doesn't look like crap. Driverside is welded in and in etching primer. Passenger side is being burned in now. I do a few inches worth of welds then let it completely cool before I go back so it takes a bit. Oh and don't hate on the flux core welds!
  5. Thanks! Yeah I'll keep everyone updated on the taillight boxes as things get sorted out. No progress on the mj yesterday due to rain and the lack of a garage. Sky's are pretty crappy looking today too so I'm just getting some small things accomplished. Removed the mangled rear bumper. Going to have to replace the pass side rear bumper bracket, it's bent badly from being shoved completely through the rear bumper lol. I do have a dent to repair under the driver tail. Seems it should be easy enough, I've popped most of it out already with my hand. Also working on getting my steering box brace from t&m fabrication welded in. It seems to be a new attempt at bracing the steering box area and also eliminates the factory aluminum spacer. It also came with a matching brace for the passenger side framerail as well.
  6. Great build man! How are the currie joints holding up? Think that's the route I'm going to go because I want to replace my joints due to unknown milage and it's just one less thing to easily fail.
