  1. Does everyone find that the OEM prop valve setup works well for rear discs?
  2. Couple pics in the snow this past month
  3. I typed that funny. I meant to say pretty sure we used a gallon, but if i were to do it again, we'd probably get a little more. Happy to help! I did not paint it myself or acquire it from the paint shop, a friend of a friend did it, I am guessing they mixed it based on the code/what it calls for. With that said, i think it was a gallon, but could have used a bit more. We didnt paint the inside of the bed either.OK. I'm just trying to get an idea of how much it would take so that's helpful. Thanks! Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

  5. I got it from a local place, they can create the factor paint code. With that said, it is on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Cherokee-Mango-Tango-Pearl-Paint/dp/B00NJHJREG/ref=sr_1_14?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433450357&sr=1-14&keywords=mango+tango
  6. HeavyMetal still lives! Much the same as it has the last few years Thanks dudes. I did crack the tail light getting it off in the end, luckily I had more :D
  7. No sir, still going strong, just adding to the collection, haha A Thule Xsporter
  8. Do it! We are thinking about heading out for memorial day weekend but are afraid it may be a mad house, and hotel prices are insane of course. I will see you at Glen Helen no doubt!
  9. Hey dude, you are one of the few people in the off road world that I can relate to on the greatness of Montauk no doubt, glad to run into you over here sir! Some day I still need to do that runway shoot, haha
  10. Great Truck !! Great Pics!! Are you swapping in the newer dash or keeping the original dash? Whats the scoop with the duck tape on the rear driver taillight? Would love to have a new dash in but getting the gauges to work requires an HO motor swap and I am just not ready for that kind of work commitment... the mounting on the tail light are broken off, i have another fresh one to go in but just havent been able to get the rusted screws out to deal with the current on (screws are rusted in to the body)
  11. Every time I walk past it outside and the sun is hitting it, I am re-blown away, haha. Thank you.
  12. Thanks! Part number ATP Y-924 Its $18 on amazon. My speedo bounces at lower speeds but steadies out after i think about 20 mph. My concern is to my understanding an auto MJ without cruise control needs a much much longer cable, that one lists as 12"...although I just read reviews on Amazon for it and a couple guys said it worked on their non cruise..I think I may give it a try! O rly.... The Y-924 one worked for me it was i think 36" the Y-802 one was something like 14" i grabbed it because it matched corresponding part number i found, but the length wasnt right. I read up on the Y-924 one and decided to try it, worked for me. I have an 88 without cruise control. I am going to give it a try, thanks for the help!

  14. The start: A 4.0L, 4x4, shortbed, auto MJ. Took awhile to find, and rot free! Had some 2" springs on it when I bought it. Planned to do a 97+ exterior as many others have done. Acquired the parts and got to work putting them on. Also some Truck Lite LED headlights. Found some ants living in our donor doors, dispatched them. For the 97+ doors, you need to use the newer style striker and relocate it to close them. Welded those bad boys on. This thing is gonna need some new paint too! Prep: Almost wanna drink it. Jeep "Mango Tango" paint, or as Dodge calls it, "Toxic Orange". Paint done, 50" Black Knight Lighting LED bar installed! http://www.blackknightlighting.com/ 255/75/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers installed on JK Moab wheels with Spidertrax (http://www.spidertrax.com) adapters to account for bolt pattern change. Also installed Clayton Off Road short arms, as well as their HD Trackbar system. http://www.claytonoffroad.com Next up, was front and rear bumpers from Hanson Off Road. https://www.hansonoffroad.com/ Winch is a WARN Zeon 10-S Platinum Went for a little camping trip, thanks ARB for the roof top tent setup! Looking to maybe swap the bench for some leather 04 WJ seats I have next. Have to put carpet in, fix my speedometer cable issue (need to find one that works/fits...) and get my gas gauge working again, which reads full all the time, and sometimes will fluctuate randomly.
  15. did it end up working for you?
  16. This one goes above my understanding. Its an 89 MJ with a 4.0L, AW4, NP231. Ran perfectly fine on a trip I was on, couple hours driving on road, wheeling, so on. Tried to pull a friends truck out in reverse with a strap, nothing very hard or major, just one snatch pull with a strap, and from that exact moment on, this issue began. The truck misses, backfires, surges, loses power in huge rhythmic surges on acceleration until the absolute moment it gets out of 1st gear. Once it shifts beyond first, it runs 100% fine through all speeds, throttles, you name it. In park at idle, it misses, sputters, and then on revving it, it backfires out the tail pipe, has total loss of power, will not clear out. In neutral, you can rev it to your heart's content and itll be smooth as silk. I believe the same in reverse. This is one of the weirdest running issues I have had in 12 years of Jeep ownership and 4 XJs. Anyone have any ideas?
  17. I know this has been done to death, and I have searched to my limit. I have an 89 Comanche Auto 4.0L short bed that was 2wd the previous owner converted to 4wd. My understanding is you need a longer speedo cable (this one isnt hooked up I assume due to being too short, and appears damaged anyway at the connector) My question is, what one am I buying to replace this cable specifically? I took a picture of the connector at the cluster and none of them on Rock Auto appear to be the same style. (unless it is this one, but I can't tell: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4218006&cc=1181720&jnid=498&jpid=2 ) Thanks guys

  23. Looking for a headliner board, all I have is metal above my head and I need something to wrap with some headliner. If the board has liner on it, bonus! If not, def not a deal breaker at all. Thanks all! Located in Shelton, CT
