http://www.gorancho.com/assets/catalog/Rancho_Suspension_2010_Master_Catalog_sm.pdf page 94... both 2wd and 4wd available.. no primary rear suspension, but there is a rear kit, whatever that may be... like I said in my OP... didnt know if anybody here had used them before..
-
its an MJ kit.. the front components are the same PN#s as for the XJ.. Coils, Arms, hardware package.. the rear is different..
-
i am able to get Rancho at cost and want to know if anybody has any experience with the 3" lift system.. this isnt my wheeler.. it would primarily for street use.. its not even my DD.. I see the front is the same as the XJ.. so i assume all is well there.. but the rear says it only nets 1" of lift... how can it be a true 3" lift kit if the Front and Rear lift heights don't match.. cheap is good unless it just sucks..

just need the bench really... well i do need a carpet and liner.. but those I'm buying new

Runs great, drives great... Once I let off the gas it idles low and rough... Any ideas...

This is the email I sent to my friends and family today when I heard the news... Please read and pass along to animal lovers, or just simple humans alike... Thanks Rejeep Hello Friends, Many of you know that I have an enthusiastic personality. I am very passionate about the things in my life that I care dearly about. Family, Friends, work, and my cars are the obvious ones. But recent events in the Rochester NY area have stirred another enthusiastic response from me. The Rochester Memorial Art Gallery has hired a controversial artist to create sculpture for the institution to commemorate its 100th birthday. The artist chosen however has a marked past. In 1977 Mr. Tom Otterness adopted a dog from an Animal shelter, chained it up and shot the animal in the name of art. His "work" entitled Shot Dog Film, has earned Mr. Otterness a controversial reputation. The Memorial Art Gallery feels this artist is an appropriate figure head to culminate 100 years of art in the Rochester community. I had a very lengthy conversation with the director of the Gallery, Mr. Grant Holcomb, who defended the Gallery's decision saying he was voted on by the community board. I would like to show Mr. Holcomb that the GREATER Rochester community does not stand behind the decision of the community board and perhaps they should make better judgment calls on the types of artists they bring to OUR community. For more information I have provided some links bellow to local articles on the subject matter. Article http://barkaroundtown.wordpress.com/...e-barking-mad/ Article 2 http://www.rochestercitynewspaper.co...-park-protest/ Please don't just sign the petition because you feel obligated to. I want people to sign the petition that truly feel the Memorial Art Gallery made a mistake in who they contracted to represent them. I appreciate your time, Happy Holidays and a Healthy New year. Next time I go home to visit I will be sure to take a few pics.. as for what I paid.. its a long story... bottom line, out of pocket.. I paid nothing.. We converted an older Chrysler dealer into a authorized service center. He had several thousand dollars of rare NOS parts that were not in inventory that he wasn’t sure he could sell on the market. things were there like Ba10 parts, some CJ crap (knobs etc) a quite a few Renault parts, fenders for a LeBaron you get the idea. I told him that some of them interested me and i would offer him a 30% discount on new stocking parts for what I wanted. so in short.. dumb luck and a couple thousand dollars worth of parts at cost...

NOS MOPAR MJ rear bumper, tailgate and tailights... Ill snap some pics if I get a chance.. but they were delivered to my parents house in CT (where the MJ is).. might be a while before I get down there. I don't need them.. to be honest mine are in good shape.. but I saw them for sale and couldnt resist. Bought them for a song as well.. Guess the guy didnt see the CULT apeal and general worth of these parts.

its one of thoes cast alum valve cover that come with the thicker cork gasket.. it deff wasnt the valve cover .... but valve issues... now were thinking.. infact one of the valves was really dirty compared to the rest...
-
can't tell.. it pools on the manifold flange
-
engine ran like a champ, 175 compression across the board.. the whole head was rebuilt.. all valve work was done.. why what do you think..? and only the front head bolt calls for sealant b/c it hits a coolant passage.. or am I wrong on this one.. but either way there are no oil passages on that side of the engine block.

swapping 4.0 into a 2.5 comanche
rejeep replied to 603Redneck's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
my 4.0L in my 2.5L was so simple... took about 10 min and two straps.. no fab work.. didnt budge the whole trip.. :clapping: -
Without getting into too much detail.. (I want fresh and unbias)... I had my 258 rebuilt.. engine ran like a champe except for some smoke out the tail pipe and a mysterious oil leak coming from the manifolds closest to the firewall... The engine was torn down.. no head gasket issue, no ring issue.. vlave cover wasnt leaking and it wasnt the RMS.. the oil was coming from the manifold aread of the engine.. I have been fighting this for over 6 months... before i go built the engine back up again any thoughts as to where this is coming from? The engine was fully machined, no warpage or cracks..
