  1. It has a 6 cylinder sorry for that. So here's the master cylinder that is on the truck. Take notice the metal line running off the top of it!
  2. Sorry for a million questions, but I can't find an answer! I just picked up an 89 comanche 4wd. The previous owner gave me a new slave cylinder but I believe it may be for an earlier model. There isnt one on the truck right now but rhe one he included fits the trans. My problem is, the factory line from the master is a hosr with a metal and and a nut to thread it together! Not the plastic like the new one uses. So did someone swap the trans out with a newer one that uses the external slave? Did the original trans use an internal?
  3. Ok thanks guys. I assumed thats what it was. That one was plugged in but not mounred. There is one mounted to the bellhousing unplugged but has a different plug end. Are there different models of that sensor. The one pixtured has 2 wires and the one bolted to the trans has 3 !

  6. I'm trying to get a jeep i picke up running an foud this hanging loos. I'm assuming I need it!
  7. So monroe part number 31904. It rnges from 13.3 inches to 20.1 inches. Shoukd work for me. Its an ordered part so I'll have to call advance and get it started.
  8. So today after jacking the one rear tire up on my manche, I'm thinkin I should have left the big bottom leaf out of my spring pack. It really dosn't have the flex that I was expectin it to have. Whats everyones thoughts on losing my bottom leaf? I'm gonna lose like 3/4 of an inch but thats worth it to me if I can add some travel/flex!
  9. I switched my rear axle to spring over! With that said, I'm trying to find some shocks now. I have measured the compressed actual size at 15 and the extended actual at 18. So to be on the safe side, I'm looking for a shock that ranges from 13" to 18" , can anyone help me find a part number for a cheap shock to replace with? Thanks in advance!
  10. Haha thanks. I'm good though. Did that once before at a buddies lifting his dodge. Let some air out of the tires and wiggled it through! So does anyone have some shock part numbers that might fit my truck? I'm looking at 13 compressed and 20 extended to be safe.
  11. Just a little updated photos. I left the shackle on the back. Which I think is 2.5 inches and did the SOA swap. The spring perches I got are slightly taller than stock, I'd say a half inch. So with that said In going to say the back end has about 8.5 inches of lift now.
  12. Oh and btw. I did SOA and it already has a set of shackles in the back. Guessing 2 or 2.5 inches of lift? Plus the SOA. So I'm probably right atound 7 inches
  13. Well, for starters, my manche won't ever see the road. Or high speeds. I'm only going offroading! And after getting my axle bolted on and checking out drive shaft lines. Theres no way the stock alip yoke will work. Even at ride height it is going to bind. Let alone when its fully flexed. I definetly need to come up with a SYE and a new driveshaft .
  14. So tonight as I sat in the garage pondering how in the hell I'm gonna make my driveshaft work after my SOA swap, a thought came to mind. So the newer np231's are able to be eliminated via the hack and tap method. By the way, I'm SUPER cheap so I'm always looking for the cheapest way to get by..... So I slide my slip yoke on the transfer case and say to myself. Why couldn't I just drill and tap the yoke right to the end of my shaft? If the yoke won't bottom out on the shaft I could always add shins inside to make it bottom out. Maybe just some washers or a piece of tubing? Anybody ever heard or thought of this? I'm guessing theres some reason that it won't work? I just hate to spend the money and time to swap to the newer case. Just my cheap side coming out!!!
  15. Well I'm not real sure what your doing? Haha I turn wrenches pretty good and poind te keys on my Iphone about half a**'ed haha but thanks for puttin the picture on there! Not bad for $300 if I do say so myself :D
  16. Ok so i think these links might go to my pictures! Here goes nothin' http://imgur.com/l1JWpIt http://imgur.com/UO3bsne
  17. Today I picked up my first Jeep. Its an 89 pioneer comanche. 4x4. 4.0 with a 5 speed. Homemade lift kit and 33" tires. Body is super solid. Couple dents and so on. Definetly needs some work. Its missing the rear driveshaft. No seat. Previous owner was in the middle of replacong clutch and now I've got that to finish. I have a few questions. #1 being. Are there any other models of jeeps that I can steal the rear driveshaft from? #2 does anybody have a picture of the 4wd shift linkage. Looks like I'm missing a few parts. Any help would be awesome.
