I’m in Northern KS, can pick up if nearby or shipped. Lights or no lights, as long as it fits an 88 Comanche. Thanks

Looking for a camper shell for my 1986 longbed, not real sure what they go for so just name a resonable price and we'll go from there. Locating in North/Central Kansas. Closer is better, but I can drive a bit if I need to. Thanks.

Vaccum/Emissions Delete Questions

I'd like to do that eventually. Funds are pretty tight so I thought I'd see if it was any advantage/worth the money to get rid of it. -
Vaccum/Emissions Delete Questions
termitecontrol posted a topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hi, I have a 2.8 in my comanche and I was wondering if there was anyone on here who has ever thrown out all of the emissions crap. I feel like I have seen a write up before, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks. -
Hi, I'd like to get a tailgate. I don't really care if the paint's very good but I don't want rusty and it needs to be straight and open and shut ok and all that jazz. I don't really want to pay for shipping so you'll have to be in kansas or one of the surrounding states (CO,NE,OK,MO) Thanks! I might buy a drivers side tail light too if anyone wants to part with one, also.

There was a guy in Home that had a manche also.. I bought my truck from a guy named Johnny, don't suppose it was the same?

Corning KS. Small town in between Marysville and Topeka.

I'm not surprised it's gone... I know it wasn't smart on my part to not go and get it sooner but we didn't think there was too much of a rush and the weather was crappy pretty much every time we could have gone to go get it, and thought that if he needed it out he'd let us know. Oh well, I suppose..

Don't suppose any of you are lawyers or know the law well? Or how to deal with stupid people? :fs1: When I bought my Comanche, I bought a motorcycle on the side from the same guy. Paid him and everything. At the time it was at his friend's house. After we got the truck loaded up onto the trailer, we went on to his friend's house in the other town to check it out, he didn't come along. Before we parted ways we told him we probably wouldn't get it that day, but would come back up some other time and get it. Winter passed and we didn't get the bike and we didn't hear anything else from the guy. About a week ago I texted him to make sure he still had it and this guy tells me he gave it to his friend. Granted, it's only $50. Still, a deal's a deal and that's kind of a jackass thing to do. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone here that absolutely has to have this? (RENIX)

How much you want for it? -
Just a little friendly edjumacation here...... There is no "dashboard". The MJ/XJ dash is one huge assembly. If you're wanting to replace the cracked top surface of your dash, you gotta replace the entire dash. Also...... lol........ there's nothing BUT '92 and earlier MJ's. There aren't any '93 and later. Yeah I know.. I meant the entire dash. Around here the two seem to be synonymous. I know theres none newer than 92 also, not sure why that got in there :hmm:

Oh yeah. Totally forgot about dying. I could probably do that myself. Thanks, edited post.

Hey, I need a new dash for my comanche. Color doesn't matter. I'd also buy a black window roller. Thanks.

Radiator Mounting Issues
termitecontrol replied to termitecontrol's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No, thats not them. Ebay might have them tho. I'll do some looking -
Hi. I have a 1986 with a 2.8l v6 and a 5 speed. I just got it and it needed a new radiator. When we were in the process of replacing it, we ended up ripping up the little rubber parts around the mount on top, that you can see when you open the hood. Sorry, I don't have any pictures as I didn't think it would be a problem/something to take pictures of, so hopefully you can understand what I mean. Do any of you know where I can buy a new one? I can't seem to find one online but I also haven't been to a parts store or something like that..

Hi, I'm looking to see what you all think would be the best thing to do. I really like the black interior and I know it's kinda something special. However, the dash is cracked and going to need replaced and both seats are going to need some reupholstery work if I want to save it. Originally, I was going to do the full 97+ swap, but this was before I knew it had a black interior. Is it something worth saving? How hard would a new dash be to find? Also, I haven't heard good things about the 2.8. Eventually, I'd like to swap it out for something bigger/better. I'm on a pretty tight high school budget so this might be a while but I'm bored so just planning things out. Lol. The 350 sounds cool, but it also sounds like a pita for something that is going to be a DD and rarely see more trails than muddy KS roads. I've heard good things about the 3.4 swap because it's easy, but I was wondering how that would compare to something like the 4.3 V6, or maybe a 4.0 or a 4.6 stroker or something along those lines.

My comanche is idling weird, and I'm fairly certain it's caused by this strange hole in the headers. Does anyone here know what it's supposed to go to? If it was something a PO did to it trying to improve it or if there is something that is supposed to be plugged into it? Anyways, here's the pics. I know this one doesn't show it, but it might help show the location.

Hi. I just recently made an account and bought a comanche, but I've been browsing and getting ideas for a few months. Still not sure what I want to do with it, but I'll try to keep you fellas updated as it goes. Anyways, here it is. Hopefully the pictures work, haha. $#!&ty pic, but I was pretty surprised to find out the clock works! Here's a bike that got thrown in for $50. Not currently running but I don't have a ton of experience with motorcycles so it ought to be fun :P 233,000 miles. AX5 tranny, 2.8l V6, black interior, manual windows/locks, dirty as hell and needs a lot of work.
