Haha Thanks, I thought they were pretty bad too! He is about 35 minutes from me, so I may just go check it out and cut my losses if its no good. Anything in particular to look out for when checking it out? I own a '00 XJ and am familiar with what to look for on those and vehicles general, but wasn't if the MJ had anything in particular that is important to check out.

I am looking at buying an '88 Commanche and want to know what all I need to be looking out for when purchasing. What will I be doing with it? The plan is to build a street-able weekend warrior...something along the lines of 5" lift on 35s. I plan to wheel it. What I know about it from the ad and owner so far... It's a 4.0 and runs good 5 speed manual Body is in good shape with no rust spots (highly unlikely, but we'll see) 2 wheel drive Needs minor TLC - rip in seat and turn signals don't work...nothing major Now all of this of course needs to be confirmed, but what do y'all think so far? Is it a good base to start from you think? They're asking for $1,200. Any help in the matter would be appreciated!
