  1. Thanks guys! Yall are the best. I'm gonna work on it here soon. Ill let ya know what it ends up being.
  2. Hey guys, I was driving my manche home and I made it about a half mile down the road before my clutch would not engage. I still have fluid in the master cylinder but no pressure in the pedal what so ever. I think I blew a line or maybe the slave cylinder. I'm still new to all this and would like some input. If it is either do you think it would be beneficial for me to get lines or slave cylinder from the junkyard? She's a 2.8 v6 4x4 5 speed. Thanks in advance!
  3. Also ive tried googling my question, maybe I just can't word it right. I'm new to motor swapping as well. Lol. Thats why I want to go with something simple my first time around.
  4. Hey guys i'm looking to swap the 2.8 out of my jeep for a 3.4. Ive done a little bit of research and found I can swap in a 85-90 3.4 out of a camaro or firebird. I understand its a chevy 60 degree v6 and I was doing more research on it. Can I use any longitudinal 60 degree v6? Will my motor mounts change? The reason I ask is id like to go with the L32 as opposed to the LB8 (more power.) If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great thank you.
  5. Thanks guys, we got it all taken care of. There was a grounding issue with the battery. As for the clutch, the forks werent lined up in the tranny properly. Thanks again. I'm just retarded. Lol
  6. Alright guys, so I've already gone and replaced the clutch and have everything bolted back up. However, i can not depress my clutch now. I need to bleed the clutch correct? Also, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it after. The battery is reading 12.87v but I have no current going to anything. I've checked my fuses, and made sure there weren't any loose or disconnected grounding cables. Any ideas?
  7. I do not know the size of my tires, I believe they are about 30 inches. 235/75/15 If memory serves me. I'm pretty sure they're aftermarket wheels, but not 100% positive. I think I will do that lol. Thank you.
  8. No it just sounds like a violent knock. Duly noted. Why not though? I'm just essentially putting power to all four wheels. I just wanted to test out the 4x4. Do you think it wouldn't make those noises if I was off-road?
  9. Hey guys, I recently picked up an 86 4x4 v6 MJ. Whenever I throw it in 4H and turn either left or right there's a violent knocking. I have no idea what it is and would appreciate any input. This is my first 4x4 vehicle, I don't know much about 4x4 at all. Lol.
  10. I had the stock totally worn out 2.8 in it , prior to swapping it out I lifted it from 5" up to 9" and stuffed some 33" swampers under it and geared it with 4.88 which the gearing itself made a huge difference ! It drove better at that point than it ever did and then I swapped in the 3.4 and then that was a night and day difference though I also installed an edelbrock intake at the same time but it was still way better! Dude thats awesome. can't wait to do my own swap!
  11. @86fubar what did you have in it before? Also how much of a difference was it? Night and day or just a little bit?
  12. I may be mistaken but I thought the 80s Camaro had a 3.5 v6. Ill let you guys know everything you want to on saturday when I grab iyt!
  13. I was looking at doing a 3.5 v6 swap as it bolts right in for the time being, then I wanted to swap in a 5 cylinder OM617 at some point!
  14. Also, the truck is already leaking oil, I just don't know where from. Lol
  15. Hello, all. I am going to be picking up a 1986 Jeep Comanche X 4x4 5spd 2.8l v6. I am aware these engines are under powered and suffer from oil leeks. I was just wondering of any other quirks with this truck and where the oil leek may originate from (if there is a common origin). I am extremely excited. It has almost no rust at all and any rust on it is surface rust. I've been lusting after an MJ for 3 years now and am finally getting one! I'll post pics as soon as I can!
