Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Nothing from ANYONE!!!! I am going to have to get the Novak Kit aren't I.
  2. Good Afternoon Guys, Its been awhile since I posted, but I am almost at the end of my conversion and I have hit a dead end. Here is an update. I have an 1987 Sportruck. It had a 4.0 that I thought was okay but a compression test showed that it in fact had some dead cylinders. I decided that I would throw a new to me 4.0 in it. The truck also have the Pukegoat so I upgraded to an AX-15. Finally had all the right pieces and everything is in and running except I can not find a bracket to attach to the AX15 in order to engage the 4WD. It is driving me insane and none of the bone yards around here even want to deal with the thought of it. Please, if anyone has one lying around, can you message me? I am in zipcode 02904 for shipping.
  3. Yeah mines not bad on rust at all, it's just undoing everything that the po did to it that's the problem. Ha ha
  4. Ahhh where was this weeks ago, it's all good, the one I picked up from Penn had character. Ha ha. Hey kkilmer, do you still have those heat controls?
  5. The fun of pinpointing the problem? Ha ha.
  6. Ignore the red wires, that's some bull$#!& from the PO.
  7. I might be wrong depending on your year but mine has the EGR solenoid there. Here's a pic.
  8. So new developments here. It ran last night, and stalled out. Wouldn't start this afternoon, but I kept doing some stuff (rechecked the vacuum diagram once again, added a new chassis ground to the heat shield, installed a rear bumper finally, tried cleaning the tail light ground but the screw is stripped, and worked on degunking the C101 for the third time.) I bought the 4 gauge cable from NAPA to ground the negative battery ground to the radiator bolt but I realized my negative battery cable is grounded to my dipstick ground, does anyone have a photo of where it is supposed to be grounded because I can find it forward of the dip stick ground. Anyways I did all of this and then added some fuel because I know the fuel gauge is not working. After that she fired right up and ran with out stalling. It makes a decent clinking noise towards the fan, I hope it's the fan itself and not a cylinder. I shut her down, then she wouldn't restart! What's going on! Any thoughts?
  9. Yeah I figured out the line to attach to the air box. Tomorrow I'm going to use a test light on the grounds and potentially go get a vacuum gauge. I'm wondering if it's compression. Might have to do a compression test.
  10. Yeah I know the c101 is an issue. I spent hours cleaning mine and I could probably do it again. I don't under stand where that tar comes from.
  11. Would I need to add a ground if I can finally get the braided line loose?
  12. Never done it in my life, ha ha, guess I could pick up the stuff at harbor freight though.
  13. Holy $#!&! Got her to fire up and it's glorious, it's the quietest she has ever been! Down side though, she fired up high RPMs, tries to drop down, and stalls out. No idea what to do now. So the firing order is correct and thanks to paradiseMJ, cruiser and dainternetguy my vacuum lines are correct, no idea what to trouble shoot next. I refreshed the dip stick ground. I've been trying to refresh the braided line on the block but it's not coming loose off the block at all. Any other ideas on what it could be?
  14. This is amazing, I'm clearly missing part of my EGR valve. Did you buy that vavle or is it the original? Thank you so much, now I just need the weather to clear
