  1. A turbo is a turbo I can make it boost 10 pounds if need be with a external waste gate but thank you for the info
  2. That's why I'm asking does anyone know what kind of turbo it is cause I have no clue.... I'm thinking about just putting a t3t4 on it instead

  4. Like a lot of play I've owned a diesel before this and built my turbo and there was not nearly as much play as this.... I'm just wondering if I could slap a t3t4 on her
  5. I see a lot of people with the Dana 30-35 combo..... Mines also a 2.1 factory td but I have the dana30 amc 20.... Is that rare??
  6. I have play in my turbo on my 86 factory turbo diesel... My question is what kind of turbo is it and has anyone swapped a different one on it??
  7. Yeah I'm not to sure why but everything measures up to be perfect... Should I build my own crossmember out of 2x6x1/4 wall tube and beef up the bolt sizes and plate the frame?? Does anyone else have a custom crossmember they made?

  9. Just measured it today and the arms can adjust to fit perfectly in the center of the crossmember... With much more to go?? Soooooooo now I'm in a pickle make my own crossmember or beaf up the stock one?? I think I will beaf up the stock one I have the technology lol
  10. Yes I have an 86 2.1 td in perfect shape and I want it to be my show truck but as for the length I have a 5 inch lift... Coul I weld brackets to the frame???

  13. Hello all I just got some Clayton long arm for some old tires I had but it didn't come with the crossmember.... I'm a good welder and metal fabricater now I was wondering can I just weld some tabs with some gussets to the stock crossmember??

  15. Hello all I just acquired a 1986 2.1 turbo diesel with 81xxx miles no rust no rot but the only thin I can't figure out is the timing... Symptoms- hard start,long crank time and when it does start it has a very erratic idle like a lope between 1500-500 rpm and smokes a lot of blue/white smoke but when up around 3000 rpm nothing runs great?? It had the pump replaced before I got it an I have never owned one of these... So any help would be great
