  1. I have the option of 2h,4h,N, and 4 low. I am now stuck in driveway I finally got it into 4 wheel drive this morning after 15 mins of trying different things and as I went up driveway I started to spin in mud in 4L and it maid a loud pop and all power went to back wheels but it definitely was still in low. It doesn't make sense when I'm on dry pavement it clicks right into 4x4 but then I get in mud at the end of my driveway and and it pops out and goes to all back tires but it's something to do with front cause it is still in low just powering back tires
  2. i know I must sound stupid but it can't be tcase because it acts as if it's in 4low even though front hubs army spinning right?

  4. I think what's happening is that when it gets pressure of any sort it is popping out so I might need to adjust cable like optimus2 said but I'm nervous that it could be transfer case only because before I installed posi lok it was jumping out of 4x4 and I thought it was a vacuum issue.
  5. Obviesly 4x4 isn't working right but it is working at certain times the reason I know the passenger side tire is not moving is because I had someone stand outside the truck and watch
  6. I'm positive it's not spinning but it doesn't really make sense that it would do that with posi lok installed unless it's not adjusted right there might be a slight popping noise
  7. Seems like it engages and if I can move forward front tires are spinning but if in at a stand still and stuck it won't move those front tires
  8. Ok so 4x4 is working but when I get stuck or tires starts spinning fast it seems like all power goes to rear and front tires won't move
  9. Ok I will try that. Seems to pop out with 4wd lever and front axel

Ok so I had an issue where my rear driveshaft caught on rock and broke it off took it to mechanic and he got a new driveshaft and I had him install posi-lok so I could get rid of 4x4 popping out with vacuum system well now after getting back today it still pops out in 4wd high and low. Anyways I am stuck in driveway and I'm wondering what the heck happened is it the t case?

  15. I have a 89 comanche 4x4, 4.5 lift, Dana 44, posi loc, 32" all terrains, and winch bumper. I moved to an area with about a mile long driveway that is off-roading pretty much the whole way and already caught my driveshaft on a rock and broke it which bent rear leaf springs and chipped rear differential gears. I was wondering what are the best upgrades that will make my comanche the most reliable and will help me get up driveway on bad weather days such as snow and mud. I got the driveshaft fixed, new rear leaf springs, the mechanic says the gears are fine for now, and also has the posi lok put in because the vacuum system was just not staying locked in. So what are some of the best things I can get to make sure I don't run into issues again or get stuck?

  18. Hey guys was going up a rocky road and my driveshaft got caught and snapped off turns out I broke that, bent leaf springs and some of my gears in the back end are chipped. Anyways I went to the junk yard and found a near perfect 2.5L comanche 4x4 longbed and I was wondering what would fit from it I have a 89 Longbed 4x4 4.0L. Also if it doesnt fit where can I find a driveshaft and what should I do about gears mechanic said its driveable it has the good dana rear end. thanks
  19. Alignment fixed vibration but I'm still gonna put shims in to try and bring that axle back to where it should be

  21. I guess what I'm asking is what could I try to do so I don't have to change perches
  22. No probably not so what are my options before I change my perches?
  23. Just talked to rusty he said the 6 degree shims he gave me should fix it
  24. So how would I fix the angle u can't really just adjust those should I get shims ?
  25. This is probably a dumb question but how does that cause a vibration it's fairly even where the driveshaft connects on both sides so why would that cause vibration?
