I am trying to grab yellaheeps set. If successful I'll give the passenger side to a comanche owner in need as I already have the NOS passenger side.

While trolling the net for bed bars I have found a whole lot of Go Rhino bars. They seem like they would be perfect for my truck. Problem I am having is how to order them. From what it looks like I will have to buy several different kits that will rack up a bill of around a grand. That is way out of the ballpark for what I am willing to pay to add some flash to my bed. Am I reading these things right? http://www.andysautosport.com/bed_bars/jeep_comanche.html side note - got a chrome bed bar that works in a comanche? I have cash :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of floating toys! I live a stones throw from Lake St. Clar and have all my life. The water runs through my blood. I have learned the best kind of boat is someone else's boat. I do have one of my own though. Recently got a spitfire 8 kayak and modified the heck out of it to make it a fishing kayak. Added a cooler with a rod/net holding rack, out riggers (so I can stand and cast), a skeg to keep the rig straight and an anchor trolley to keep my facing the way I want to in a current. Maybe sometime soon I will post the pictures of the build process in the other projects thread. But in the mean time here is the inspiration for mine. Zoffinger poor mans fishing kayak - Zoffinger out riggers -

He is off work on vacation this week. When he gets back I will ask him were the black ones are hiding and let you know who you gotta call. Hopefully he can tell us where all these things are at.

I'm trying to stay away from the fey bumper. The guy that has people looking said they found some black ones... No chrome so far... But they haven't searched everywhere yet. Fingers crossed

Bench seat recovered????
CommaComanche replied to TooTall's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That is a nice looking ride there.... I want to end up with a classic/muscle car look inside when I'm all done -
I just posted an add on craigslist looking for an upholsterer. Figured I would post it here. If someone here wants to do the project that would be cool. Keep it in the comanche community. http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/crg/3963486173.html If someone outside of south east michigan (macomb county) would like to do the project that is fine too. It would just be a matter of you sending me the seat cover already made and I would do the rest myself.

Bench seat recovered????

I would like to do something like this in mine: This obviously is not a Comanche bench but this is the basic idea of what i'd like to do with mine.Anyone have a guess as to what this might cost? I wanted to go the leather route but I have heard a lot of people say that vinyl is the better way to go. I am thinking white with black piping would look pretty awesome. Toying around with the idea of a white headliner to match. -
I have a stock chrome step with just a minor trailer hitch ball dent in it. Didnt realize they were that rare Think that dent could be pounded out?

Just realized I read that wrong... I would be interested in buying your passenger and Moores drivers. -
I think it would be a good idea to have a feedback thread. Each topic being the members name. Each post inside would be feedback from either a buyer or seller with that person. Just one topic for each member.. Searching the classifieds for feedback seems extremely tedious. It is already tedious to find the parts to begin with.

Just talked to the material supervisor... He said to get him the part number and he will give it to his guys up stairs in their air conditioned offices... He says if they do indeed exist in storage somewhere he will find out where.
-
Does anyone know who the OEM for the bumber was? Figure it is worth a shot to give them a call. Start at the source.

I just called Parkway Chrysler Dodge Jeep and talked to a guy in the parts department. He ran a search for me and said that they don't have one and there isn't a dealer in the country that does. If there truly are still 23 in storage some where chrysler is not giving them to their dealers. But, he did give me something that might be useful. Or maybe not. When he typed in part number 82200988 the system turned it into 82200988AB. Don't know if that matters or not but I figure any more information can't hurt. I'll talk to the material supervisor today at work and see what he can do. Maybe I will even be able to get a whole 30 seconds with the plant manager. I'll let you guys know what happens.
-
No dice. Just woke up and have an email from them saying they will refund my money in 3 to 7 days. That really sucks. Oh well... Was worth a shot. The good news? I work for Chrysler and talked to one of my supervisors yesterday about tracking down the parts. He told me that I have access to a database from my computer at work that might be able to help me. He also said if I can't find it that way to talk to one of the material supervisors because he might be able to help. The last resort would be to talk to the plant manager. He's got friends in high places. I am determined to track down a Loredo chrome step bumper.

I just ordered my bumper from FactoryChryslerParts.com...It almost seemed way too easy. I found the part number for the chrome step bumper in a thread on this site. Did a quick google search and bam. Found it. As far as I can see from the listing it is an OEM bumper. The same one that was offered on the Laredo Comanche. It isn't clear if it is NOS. But, does that really matter if it is OEM and never used? It wasn't cheap. But if its the real deal...It'll be worth it.

Does anyone know what bed bars are easy fit? I would prefer a set that bolts either to the wheel wells or behind them. Don't want them to shrink the width of my bed that much by mounting inside the wells. -

Thanks for the welcoming. I have a NOS passenger side. I need a NOS drivers side....I am probably going to buy a non NOS pair to put in until I can find the drivers side I need. -
Advice For My 95 Turbo Diesel Ram 2500 Exhaust
CommaComanche replied to CommaComanche's topic in The Pub
Thank you :) -
A few days ago on my way into work I noticed that my tail pipe was hanging about 2 inches off the ground. Crawled under and noticed one of the rubber hangers had deteriorated to nothing. Rigged it up with a bungee for a temporary fix until I had the time to replace the hanger. Today while walking out of the mall I noticed the tailpipe was hanging at a weird angle. Thinking I lost my bungee I crawled under to throw another on it to get me home. No dice. From the tailpipe to the muffler was disconnected. It rusted out near the muffler and broke. So I started searching the net for a replacement exhaust. The problem I am seeing is the pricing. They range from 300 to 800 bucks for what appears to be similar to my single side exit. I am a self admitted non-mechanic. But, I hate to pay mechanic prices for relatively simple bolt on replacements which I know an exhaust is. Wanted to know if anyone here could give me some advice on what I should get. The truck has about 300k miles on it and is stock all the way. Thanks!

pimping successful. Message sent.

I just bought a passenger side nos chrome tail light.. Ran me 200 bucks... Still gotta find the drivers side... Couldn't let it go when I saw it... But there is a black trimmed tail light on ebay with a small crack, chipping black paint, and fogging... But it now for 125...that just seems insane to me...
-
Was scanning ebay for parts and came across a cracked fogged tail light for $125. This doesn't seem right to me. Are broken Comanche parts really still worth their weight in gold?
-
I am looking for an NOS Chrome framed tail light for my 86. I have the passenger side, need the drivers side. Anyone have one of these or know someone that does?
