I am a near the west cost. We get days of 100+ in the summer and nights in the winter of below 30. I tow a bass boat. Well I hope to tow a bass boat (again).

Anybody ever put a tailgate lock on their commanche? Pics? Recommendations for lock? Kind of silly to lock a shell and then have a tailgate the doesn't lock. Even if it's just little things in the back.

Looks like I may need to replace the water pump on my 1990 Comanche 4.0. Any advice, suggestions, brands to buy or stay away from? Thanks Robert

The black one also belonged to the guy I bought this red one from but the black one was only a 4 banger. Although he claimed it to be 98% restored. Shortly after we agreed on a price for the red one he was run off the rod by a drunk driver in Mexico and rolled the black one. Bummer. He also has a white one with what he says had over 1 million miles on it. WOW!!

I've got a jack and the rod that goes with it for the spare tire but I have no idea on what parts I need nor how exactly it gets mounted behind the seat. Could some one please clue me in with a couple of pictures; and if you happen to have the parts for sale I'd like to buy them. Image Not Found

I don't think it is factory paint. And I would bet it was repainted in Mexico. Last owner spent time on both sides of the Texas border. Originally came from North Dakota. What all is involved with swapping out an instrument cluster in a 1990 Comanche. Currently I have the one with the big fuel gauge and the idiot lights for temp. oil, etc. I'd like one with regular tach, oil pressure, etc. Thanks for your help.

Thanks guys. I've been avoiding the 'on the center of the seat' thing. I was hoping to find something that would go in the center by the 4wd shifter. I have a bench seat just like the ones in the pictures above. I live in Temecula, CA along 1-15 North of San Diego. Thanks for the heads up on o'reillie's. I'll check them out.
