  1. Oh good to know! I was just going off my own experience, but sounds like you've got more of it haha So it shouldn't actually be too much of a problem to find a bed with similar dimensions then. I'm actually thinking of building a wooden bed at this point...Then I could get all the sharp angles I want :brows:
  2. Welded flush to the bed or is it something that could be cut? I mean, somebody has definitely done it, but he used a stepside from a Ranger (looks clean, but not right for an MJ haha here's a link http://comancheclub.com/topic/14075-stepside-mj/ ) I'm basically just wondering if anyone else has done it with a more angled bed and if so, what are some beds that will fit? Most older truck beds are either 6 or 8 feet. Just another way JEEP gives a massive "IDGAF I'll do what I want" to the automotive world hahaha
  3. So do we have a DIY of how this guy did it? That's what we really need. If anyone on CC has done this, we need a post...with LOTS of pics haha
  4. Well those should be easy enough to duplicate. I mean, I'll have to retro-fit the new bed anyhow cause chances are the mounting bolts won't be in the same place. So it shouldn't be a big deal to remount the old brackets on the new bed...I assume. Granted, all the work I do on cars is easier in theory than in practice haha
  5. Hi all, Sooo like most Comanche owners, I'm looking for a solution to my bedbugs, so to speak haha I've got a bed that needs some help, and I've never really done any body work. So I've been looking into bedside panels, but I'm not sure that's the way I wanna go... What I'm seriously considering is just taking the bed off of an old Ranger (or Dakota just to keep it in the family) and making some minor adjustments to it to bolt right on to the frame. I've got the 7' box, so it shouldn't be too big of an issue to find a bed...But so I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and basically how their 'Frankenstein Monster', if I may, turned out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks a bunch guys!
  6. Just looking for a 7' long bed. I'm hoping to find one in pretty good shape. White would be best, but I can always paint it. Thanks for your time!
